READ FIRST: For a proper testing procedure and bug reporting, we recommend the following preparations and workflows: Go to your steam library and VERIFY your game files! If using custom files, rename or remove them, then verify game files via Steam to restore defaults: Right-click Empyrion > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity. 'Continue or Quit' (CoQ) Error What to Do Singleplayer: Note the build number (top left corner in the game), then quit the game. Go to: For the client & Co-op: Steam > Library > Right-click Empyrion > Properties > Installed files > Browse > Logs Find the folder matching the build number or the highest number. Compress the relevant Client.log file (Right-click > Send to > Compressed). Email the log with a brief description of what happened before the error to: [email protected] The QA team will pick up your issue and decode or ask back more info. Co-Op Server: Co-op logs location: Steam > Library > Right-click Empyrion > Properties > Installed files > Browse > Logs Send Client.log files from all affected players. Also send COOP Server and COOP Client logs from the host PC: Look for files starting with Client_AsPf_ and Dedicated_. Dedicated Server: For the dedicated Server logs location: Steam > Library > Right-click Empyrion - Dedicated server > Properties > Installed files > Browse > Logs Zip the entire /Logs folder. Include info on the playfield and timestamp of the issue. Send to the same email above. General Bug Reporting Tips Base/Vessel Issues (e.g. O2, docking, radiation): Include the blueprint or savegame + note if it's SP or MP. Upload to a cloud host and share the link. Planet/Spawn Issues: Upload the savegame and share the link in your report. Crashes with "Continue or Quit": Follow the CoQ steps above. Crash to Desktop: Same steps as CoQ. Thread prefix definitions for this forum: Investigating: The issue is currently being examined by our team. We are in the process of gathering more information and reproducing the problem to understand its cause and add it to our internal bug tracker. Tracking/Filed: The issue has been reproduced and is queued in our internal bug tracker. They will be addressed in future updates as resources & schedules allow. Not a bug: The reported issue is not considered a bug. It may be intended behavior or a misunderstanding of the feature. Currently not reproducible: The issue cannot be replicated with the current build or steps provided. Further information may be needed. Fixes in the next update: Bugs which we just recently fixed in our development version and will reach you in the next release. Fixed: The issue has been resolved and verified. No further action is required. Regressions can happen though & a new report will be needed if a previously fixed issue is found to have regressed. Known issues: These are acknowledged bugs that are documented and they will be addressed in future updates as resources & schedules allow. Please retest & re-report: This means that the issue needs to be tested again to verify if it has been resolved or if it still persists.
