Hello Galactic Survivalists! Today we start the final phase of Experimental Version 1.7! Included is a very special gift that we announced some time ago and that we know is high on the wish list of many players: Crouch! From now on your player avatar can go down by pressing and holding the C key (standard assignment). Press C twice in succession and you will remain in this mode until you either stand up (press C once) or jump, provided there is enough space above you. In addition, some improvements to the existing features have been made for phase 3, and some bugs have been fixed. Also new is the next story mission: Murky Christmas. You can play this mission directly by jumping to the sun of the Ellyon system. It starts there automatically. However, a note: If you visited the ContAr1a95 system in phase 2 to see two of the new deco planets, you either have to clean up this system first (we have a howto for you in the mission feedback thread!) or you simply start a new savegame with phase 3 - which we recommend for a "clean" test of the other changes and additions! I just tested this and no problem. I have a "hotkey" for godmode + itemmenu + spawnanyblueprint, so I pressed it while I was crouching : player stands up and glides. Pressed "g" to disable godmode and went into crouch : animation is ok. Maybe you didn't use enough cheats ! Edit : I'm also currently messing up my galaxy config pretty badly. Maybe this is related ? Try messing up or galaxyconfig.ecf so labels get so big that they hide themselves behind each other, stars make a huge bright spot behind them, and navigating this becomes a nightmare. I didn't try "crouch" while in the galaxy map though.
There is only an issue if you have "gm" enabled then use "gm off" in the console instead of using the toggle key (which doesn't trigger this issue). This is known.
Maybe it's time to get a new player avatar to go with all the graphics improvements added over the years, frankly it's so outdated it looks out of place now !
The video settings that help my GTX-1070 provide close to 80FPS in Epx 1.7.3 (given that I am not having tons of scanned signatures on HUD and I am not inside multi lighted POI).

Hi, May I ask why the Pitch controls for keyboard have been reversed for v1.7? I do often use the keyboard for pitch / yaw when driving or flying with cruise enabled. I can get used to it eventually of course, it's just an odd change.
3.4 GB for this fix or is it already the final version (from 1.7) that came out today? Just out of curiosity
