Update Hey guys, just wanted to release another EAH update to fix some issues mentioned the last month and also a few new features to make life a bit easier. I want to especially highlight the new backup functionality. Since large save games are often a problem, the new functionality should work a bit faster, fix some issues and allow you also to keep updates that you really need. Before all updates were kept for x days. But who needs 3 backups from (for ex.) last week Monday. 1 might be sufficient, while you want to have 3 backups for the last 3 days. With the new timetable option "Structure Backup Keep longer" you can create one backup each day that should be kept longer, while all other structure backups are deleted after a few days. Also the new Config option "Upload x structure backups" only uploads those "Keep longer" Backups (marked with an x in the name)" to save online disk space. Hope this will make it a bit easier. Enjoy! I'm strugging to get the discord chat bridge to work completely. In EAH if I send a chat it goes to the discord channel for public messages. If a player sends a message in the in-game public channel it does not go to discord. If someone posts in that public discord channel the message is pushed in-game. What does "EntityIdNotFound" mean and how do I make it stop? This is in a fresh install of EAH with a brand new game (I followed the EAH tutorial at https://eah.empyrion-homeworld.net/ (I did change the Scenario to "Default Random" as I want the quests enabled). Not sure if it is relevant or not, but I was also encountering an issue with EAH trying to launch the server every 2 minutes due to "Check_ServerNotStarted - ATTENTION. The Server was not started properly. I’m trying to restart it again!" errors, so I disabled the 2 minute check per https://forum.empyrion-homeworld.net/t/check-server-not-started/29345 and that eliminated that issue. Everything else appears to be working correctly - I am not getting any errors in game, and EAH's chat commands are working (both using EAH to send chats to players, and using the CB: and AM: commands in game).
Hey, this is a common issue if you use certain Mods that seem to request entities that are not existing ingame, or are not loaded yet. To fix this, you can go to the config under Debug/Bug fixes and turn on the "Ignore none EAH requests". That should fix it. If not you might want to consider to not use a certain mod, or ask the modder to only check entities that are loaded. But those errors do no harm for eah and are no "real" errors you need to worry about... besides the constant traffic and cpu used by the game. About the second issue. Yeah it happens if you stop EAH to early after turning of the server, or starting the server directly after you turned it off with EAH. Its a bit stupid build for manual start/stops.... To prevent that you could also just remove the "Check Server Off" (or similar) tasks in the timetable after you stopped the server (in case you want that feature on for the automatic restarts).
"Ignore non EAH requests" was already enabled and as I said, this was on a fresh install with a brand new game (no mods or anything yet). I have since installed Empyrion Scripting (a must have mod, in my opinion). The issue is of course, still occurring. For the second issue, it was occurring when I used EAH to launch the game, and also occurring when I had manually launched the server, logged into the game, then launched EAH. (in both cases, I never stopped the server while EAH was running). Clearing the tasks in the timetable had no effect (it just kept recreating them) - the issue did not go away until I set the "Check Server Started" debug setting to 0.
hm did you do a "Fresh start" in EAH when you started the new game. This is necessary. Otherwise EAH also still uses old ID's that are not existing anymore.
I completely deleted "Empyrion - Dedicated Server\Saves" before running EAH for the first time. Does that count?
"Fresh Start" did indeed seem to resolve the issue. Never even occurred to me that I might have needed to use it since that was my first time ever running EAH and I had wiped the entire "Empyrion - Dedicated Server\Saves" folder before running it. Just out of curiosity, any idea where else it was storing data?
EAH data is stored in the config folder where eah is installed By default Empyrion - Dedicated Server/DedicatedServer/EmpyrionAdminHelper/Config
What data would be there that could cause issues the first time EAH is run, requiring the Fresh Start option to be selected in order to resolve them?
If there still data in there from a previous save then you are loading old data. On a save that does not contain that data. Fresh start is the way to get this data deleted yes

Ich habe folgendes Problem mit dem EAH Discord-Verbindung Public-Channel funktioniert ohne Probleme in beiden Richtungen Admin-Channel funktioniert gar nichts. Die Berechtigungen stimmen alle. Kanal-ID auch. Jedoch funktionert weder Spiel->Discord noch Discord-Spiel Liebe Grüße
ah schreibt da nur warnmeldungen rein. gibt eine möglichkeit im Admin-Channel den gesamten chatverlauf anzuzeigen? mit alles privaten und fraktionsnachrichten?
