Description: Hull shield keeps coming back on. I turn it off to do some work on the ship and after a few minutes it turns itself back on. This has been around for a while.

Sounds like a signal that turns the shield on. Teleports requires shields to be off and people uses those signals to turn shields off and on again if someone wants to teleport. So when someone walks over the teleport, without even teleporting, the shield would be turned on again

That's a good thought, and I'd go with it but it's happening on our 3 ships. And neither of us have used the teleporters.
I have the teleporters set on floor triggers so they will not consume energy when not in use.

    Simple test.

    remove the teleport floor trigger.
    turn shields off.
    see if it happens again.

If it doesn't, it's related to how the floor trigger is programmed. If it does, then there's either another trigger somewhere, or a valid bug.

You're accidentally hitting X (or whatever you set your shield hotkey to)

I'm sorry guys. Stupid User mistake.
I learned along time ago that you can't program around stupid.
