For more information see here Bug Report Template Build: 15998824 Mode: Wtf? Platform: Steam DLC Installed: Yes SERVER NAME: Private SEED-ID: Irrelevant If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: Reforged Eden 2? Reproducibility: Severity: Critical Type: Audio Summary: Audio on PC shutting off after 15 min in each game. Description: Greetings. Here is my problem. I use an audio interface called the "Axe I/O" for my sound/audio while playing games, watching videos, playing/mixing music, etc. I'm just mentioning it in case this is relevant. I re-installed "Empyrion" after being away from it for YEARS (played for two years after it was first released then became bored), very interested in checking out the "Dark Faction" AND "Reforged Eden 1 and 2" content. I downloaded hundreds of Workshop bases, small ships, hover vehicles, and capital ships, including the "Dark Faction" DLC and the "Reforged Eden 2" mod. When I first launched the game, I did NOT start the "Dark Faction" single player scenario/campaign, BUT, I did say I wanted to include the "Red Faction content" while starting a new REGULAR game. About 15 minutes into any game, I lose audio on my ENTIRE PC (meaning audio no longer works on anything; YouTube, other games, sound tests, etc.) I have to switch off my "Axe I/O" device and turn it back on, and I get audio on EVERYTHING, except the still running "Empyrion" program. If I restart Empyrion the audio returns, but again will fail and stop working after another 15 minutes. Has anyone had similar problems and have a possible solution? I need help. I really would like to check out this game but if losing ALL audio is going to be a condition, I'll move on to other games....begrudgingly so. All audio drivers have been updated. I even went into my PC's "Sound Settings" and tried setting everything to "Realtek Digital Output" OR "Line Out 1/2 (3 - IK Multimedia AXE I/O)". Please, help me. Thank you : /
Can you play without Axe I/O?, I'm just wondering maybe that's why. I never encountered this issue, nor know the program your using but just a suggestion. Sorry for this lackluster response.
