Save files are locked when exit to menu, have to exit game to unlock them. Edit: Doesn't happen always, but frequently enough.
Actually it happens for the last game the player exits and the relevant backups. If the player loads another game the save files of the previous and the backups are unlocked.
Hrrmmph. I appreciate the thought of always auto-saving on session exit. But my years have taught me to be wary of a machine doing anything "auto" to try to help the user. So my habit has been: do a save immediately before I exit game, then immediately after exiting, delete the duplicate auto-save that is at the top of the list from Mr. EGS app's handiwork. I suppose I can simply delete them immediately prior to resuming a session though . . .
This is the first time since at least 8.5, if not longer, I have had any problem with the save files in E:GS being locked. It's only since build 2995 that this has been happening.
