Gave this a try in 5.5.1, and there's one problem right from the start: the map is messed up, it is completely inaccurate to the actual planet serface and it scrolls very slowly, plus when you reach a certain distance in any one direction it snaps back to your location.
Hi, PoleLevel ist the hight of the pole regions. If you change it the Pole will be higher or lower. Cu Thalon
The Pole Level is the level exactly at the poles. Values allowed from 0 to 255. If you set polelevel say to 255, the terrain will gradually rise from the polebarriers on to a height of 255 at the poles. It just affects the terrain outside the polebarriers. if set to a high value (255), your playfield will be surrounded by mountains in the north and the south. If you set it to zero, the terrain outside the polebarriers will fall gradually to zero and form an open plain. /jmc
Well that is that is the pits. I haven't played the game for a long while now, but may get back to it soon and will check out myself if I can figure anything different.
trying to do a dedicated server for my kids and i. just need a decently difficult planet with ALL resources and huge deposits. being that it always glitches when we leave or enter an atmosphere. thank you very much!
Hopefully they get that fixed. Submit a bug report, include the server logs and save game and as much detailed info as you can!
How about a misshapen planet, no atmosphere, random resource voxels - basically a small "moon", that uses a scaled-up version of the minable asteroid with more than one resource type, but still a planet for the purpose of landing on it/building on it? Think either "Rogue Planet" or "Post-Collision World"
