Been keeping Empyrion on hold for a while, and now I notice that my config file edits don't seem to do anything anymore. Has something changed? How do I tweak weapons and templates now?
The Config.ecf has been discontinued. All changes must be made to their respective main file: BlocksConfig.ecf, ItemConfig.ef, EClassConfig.ecf, Templates.ecf, etc...
Odd... I did, but they don't seem to take. Is a new game required? we're talking about these files: steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Content\Configuration\ItemsCommon.cfg?
Right location, but it's called ItemsConfig, not ItemsCommon. However, any changes to the file will be undone when there's an update that changes those files. So it's advised to use a custom scenario which won't be updated by the game to have any changed configs.
