Concerning the black box, that's "normal". It happens when you have a lot of waypoints and they're overlapping each other, like when you got 10 waypoints across different planets and moons but all in the same solar system. Can't say anything about the meteor though. Hope somebody else can clarify this.
Thank you Alhira, I will use the 'Regstry' in the game to reset waypoints and see fit. I will also investigate for a new GPU driver. About the meteor: I must add that in my picture, if I use jetpack the missing grafic of the meteor will come onscreen, in fact I have another pic where I jumped in the air as high as possible with the jetpack, and almost all of it can be seen (in comparison to when you are standing still on the ground.)
