Introducing, Hecate. Designed to be a nice mid/late survival game assault hovercraft. Is all hardened steel, plenty of storage, really fast, and possesses bruising firepower - 4 homing rocket, 2 plasma, and 1 artillery turret(s.) Named after an ancient goddess and is pronounced "HehKahTee." Naturally solid camouflage on the planet Ningues. Not for pvp. I posted this in the What did you do today thread, and have finally got around to publishing it. So here it is, the MERP
I created this mostly because I am hilarious: Introducing, Explorer's Cube. Meant to be a level 3 easy to reach HV for zooming around Akua or Omicron. If you are really strapped for resources, my cheaper HV Light-Cycle would be a better bet: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=807243730 but their are needs at all resource points, and this one fills the 240 - 260 iron range pretty well. Kinda fun, as you progress, it still has room in it's interior for both a fridge and an ammo box.... and each cube face is 3 x 3.... just sayin... Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=809826049 Enjoy! Off to explore the wilds of Akua!
OMG, love it! Very abstract. How stable is that thing? Think I am going to DL and put numbers on each face like a D6 . "Today we are going to <<rolls HV down a hill>> ... Aestus, and we are going to <<rolls down another hill>>... mine ore."
Introducing, Spawn. This is a very solid ship that is visually stunning, but I am not quite sure where this falls in my line up of HV's... it does not possess hardened steel, but it does have 4 rocket launchers that costs 10 Neodynium - so a more exotic resource, but not much of it... I dunno, tough to say. The colors are Dark green with orange but since the alt-o BP capture process does not really do a very good job with dark green, I placed it over lava for spookiness - DO NOT let that fool you(granted lava is sweet) it looks better when the base colors are present. Not for PVP Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=810253321 Enjoy!
Introducing, Minion. An super agile, hilariously fast, well armed level 5 survival HV. Minion is designed to be mean, so go hunt yourself some drone loot. Maybe a tad pricey for level 5 but I was envisioning this for the intrepid player that manages to land near or adventures to find one of the titan wrecks - with maybe a little mining along the way. Can be very comfortably upgraded with better weapons as you progress to higher levels. There are also 4 open spaces at various points behind the cockpit if you want to add more of something. Not for PVP. Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=810406708 Enjoy!
Introducing, Myrmidon. This is my attempt at a solo super heavy battle tank for PVP - at least for now; if this design proves effective, I may attempt others... I really wanted to create a super heavy tank that one person would operate, would have all the necessities, would have a "tank" feel - so not decked out in turrets; instead focusing on 1 - 4 along with the main gun, yet have a non-traditional look. There are multiple levels of armor on all sides, it is fast, very agile for it's size, and while visually stunning, it should also promote a visual paradox for your opponents making them hesitate to try and figure out what they are looking at. This would also be HIGHLY effective in Survival - it is just a little pricey. It is sad that none of the ordinance can be affected by sloped armor - it would be fun if the frontal armor struts could offer deflection. So, the hoverbike is a thing now. Officially titled the Wraith Mk1, it began as an experiment into stability of inline hover engines using the pendulum effect, and whether it was modelled in the engine accurately enough. It seems that, to a degree, it works It's only the behaviour of the RCS that's keeps it in a banked position, naturally it'll want to fall back to vertical, but with a little practice, it's hella-fun to fly. Also, Stunts, Mountaineering, Mega Jumps off Mountain Tops... and your favourite... Mini-Guns!. Spoiler: Image Goodness :D Best of all it's got teensy requirements (for us), at only 220 Iron bars, and a level 5 skill requirements makes it easy to obtain. Get one today, you'll never* regret it Disclaimer - Any notion of regrets even thinking about crossing your mind voids warranty Also, for the A-Symmetry lovers out there, have a bonus hunting vehicle , the Shade MK1
Introducing, Ganesha. A late game hard hitting Survival HV. Very well equipped with lots of storage, plenty of speed, and tons of armament: 4 plasma turrets 4 homing rocket turrets 1 Artillery. Is named after the Hindu god of removing obstacles - and definitely follows after it's namesake. POI's beware; it is a lot of forward firepower. Could be useful for light and medium PVP duty. Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=811810928 Enjoy!
Introducing, Gestalt. A powerful, fast, agile, heavily armed, well stocked level 5 survival Hovercraft. Not cut in a traditional design, Gestalt fully confirms that you can survive against impossible odds while still maintaining a artistic and stylistic flare - Do be ready for worship from the Talon Guardians! Just please be careful not to exploi... *cough* abuse your power! 6 miniguns and 4 minigun turrets will keep everything at bay until you reach level 10 and want to add rocket turrets. Kind of a fun plus; Gestalt's turret mountings allow for easy additions whenever you want to add them! Covers all terrain with ease - even glides fair distances. Also makes for an excellent sniping platform against the various food sou.... *cough* I mean hostile, man-eating wildlife. Introducing, Ashes. A small, super fast and agile, well stocked, power house of a ship for the minigun lover in all of us. Harvester module placement getting you down? No problem! With Ashes, crippling that ancient forest takes no time at all! Wanting to show off to your friends? Take the Ashes glide attack challenge! Find the tallest peak you can, and launch yourself off the top while trying to gun down as many drones as you can in mid-air. +10 Awesome points if you can run into one along the way! A bit expensive for a level 7 unlock, but really, what are resources between a person and their heavily armed destroyer HV's? Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=812605054 Enjoy!
Introducing, Beast. A level 5 hovercraft that has all the essentials and will make the Ziraxians think twice before attacking you. Maybe not as fast as I like, but it is named BEAST and is plenty agile while still possessing average speed. After playing around with this design, I kind of feel like there is more here - as in, either with this design or another, I suspect that the various builders out there could further it or build others that are better. Like say, SV's, CV's, or even bases that fit the tentacle feel. Definitely not for PVP.... although you might want to spawn it to show it off to your alien girlfriends. Beast is always a hit. Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=813578363 Enjoy! Beast is hunting... You.
I have had this collection for a few weeks: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=805771963 I think it fits. The lack of SI on vessels is going to let me do some really amazing stuff. Thank you for that. I am even in the process of building something to add to it right now! A design I have been thinking about for a few days.
@Hummel-o-War this is the latest addition. Introducing, Heavenly Pyramid. Another in my line-up of creative exercises that could be used as sweet assault HV's, but I am not sure how to arm them. Has decent acceleration, but a top speed of 18 m/s? Not sure why that is. The very bottoms of the lowest tiers of triangle platforms are not finished yet as I am not sure if I want to keep the thrusters there, and it can *technically* turn, its just not gonna wow the ladies. Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=813731906 Do enjoy, and outfit it if you can. Here it is next to my work space, looks very neat in the distance:
Introducing, Rebel Star. A cheap, fast, agile, well armed level 5 survival HV. Covers all terrain well, even glides! Lacks a constructor and O2 station, but there is room to add one if you need to. Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=814246270 Enjoy!
Finally built an HV I was happy enough with to share. (Workshop Link) Based loosely on the Star Citizen "Dragonfly" hoverbike, and Woodstock's recreation of it.
