I am a returning player but as a new player experience the impression i would get is that you are on your own after watching the how to get started video. The only reason i know something is missing is because of youtube videos i have seen and conversation on discord about it. My initial thought was that most of the tutorials had been disabled in current version. I have tried file integrity check, also a complete uninstall, manual removal of lefterover files and a fresh install. Nothing changed from doing that.
That's a strange issue we did not find a solution yet, but you could try the following and report back if it worked 1. Go to: ...\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Content\Playfields\MoonTemperateStarter 2. Open the playfield static yaml with Notepad++ (or any editor) 3. Go to line 639 where it says 'Items: ' 4. Add a # in front of the 'Items: ' 5. Save the file 6. Now remove the # again 7. Save the file 8. Start a new game on Akua 9. Check if there are 2 boxes around the escape pod and some stuff in your inventory (incl tablets)
Very interesting, that did fix the issue with the pads spawning. FYI it also changed how other items spawned. Before tent, energy bars, bandages, scanner, survival tool and flashlight would also spawn on ground as several boxes, scanner i believe was a loose item, and tent maybe ? in a bigger box. hope this helps find the cause of the problem.
I have had issues with old .bin files messing things up when I made playfield changes so I had to delete them. I don't know of course if that's the case here or not.
