Build: v1.11.7 4480 Mode: Survival Mode: Single player SERVER NAME: N/A SEED-ID: Global Seed: 368040 / Playfield Seed: 575561 If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: Don’t Know Reproducibility: Always Severity: Minor Type: Graphics Summary: Moving objects blur, and paint gun textures update slowly Description: When flying through space small rocks and ships blur blurred tails. The same is true for some objects such as the salvage robots on Skillon. I have attached screenshots showing this. When changing textures with the paint gun the old texture fades into the new. This started a few weeks ago. Steps to Reproduce: 1) Load a saved game. 2) Fly into space. 3) Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1B6_xzMz8YT0NhNe8tcq9jF1Z0QxeTSup?usp=sharing
You will need to be much more specific than just these provided "steps" which don't trigger anything to look at. What resolution do you play at ? Do you have FSR or DLSS enabled in the video options ?
Sorry, the one thing I didn't think to try. It is caused by DLSS. Moving objects blur with DLSS on, and asteroids have short tails like comets. I tried FSR and asteroids blur but don't have tails. I was playing at 3840 x 2160 with DLSS and options turned up, medium screen space reflections, no AA. Without DLSS I get about 30/35 FPS at 3840 x 2160, so I'll have to use 2560 x 1440 to get 60 FPS. Can you try this ? 1) Download this version I have uploaded here for DLSS2 https://drive.google.com/file/d/18Fd39eFeIOF-LSOhDZrUh9EVvDAZuNq1/view?usp=sharing 2) Open the Empyrion games root folder & open the "Client" folder & find a file called "nvngx_dlss.dll" & move it somewhere else temporarily f.ex on to your desktop (to delete later) 3) Place the version you downloaded from step 1 in its place & extract the file & start the game then setup your resolution to what had it set to 4k (you might need to use the "Exclusive full screen" option in the "Screen Mode" also) & DLSS2 to which ever setting you chose in the video options at the bottom of the list & go in to a save & look again Has the ghosting gone now for you or massively decreased ?
Replacing nvngx_dlss.dll with the version you uploaded has fixed the problem. I'm running at 3840 x 2160, full screen, DLSS set to quality, no AA, and all settings on high. No ghosting, and there is no lag or slow fade when repainting blocks with the paint gun. I tried the windowed options and no problems for me in any of them. Thanks.
