Hello there, i'm building my own galaxy map for Empyrion for some days now and i thought maybe some of you guys are interested in it as well, since it's kind of a replica of the region map of EVE Online. now, i've seen many EVE Online appearing in the workshop and figured many of us play or have played EVE so i came up with the idea of building a galaxy map for Empyrion. it was supposed to be privat and stuff but i found guys like Vexray publishing their custom planets here and i'm very happy for those, so... if some of you guys are interested in my project leave some feedback here my intension: - use the region names of EVE Online map for my "systems" in Empyrion, like on the default map Akua Orbit, Omicron Orbit and so on - use SOME of the systems from EVE Online as "planets" in Empyrion, like Akua planet and moon are renamed to Jita for example - use some of the planets as starter planets kind of like in EVE, one in caldari space, one in gallente and so on to give you a rough idea how it's looking so far: orginal map from EVE my current state as you see in the picture, the whole Minmatar space and most of south/ south-east is still missing basicly what i'm doing is to move the systems to match the coordinates from EVE map's regions and rename them then adding some random EVE systems as planets into the map, some of the planets get a moon or two some systems will only have moons, some are empty, some are astroid fields and so on. if some of you are active EVE player and want some certain systems in the map just tell me i've got around 10 planets in the whole map as of right now so still much room to fill
starting my local dedicated server on the current map... * Minmatar space is still missing from the map, so... of course the planet describtions are still on default, cause i'm using base-game content right now however i want to add custom planets to many systems anyway, and i'll edit the starter planets to be unique later on i'm also thinking about adding some of the pirate systems as starter for Angel Cartel, Guristas, Sansha, ... let me know what you think creating my own faction in game... Explorer is still in there though i can't start as one... seems to be default origin always present
A quick warning for using the default planets as a base. If you have not changed the name of the folder (say Akua) then when the next update rolls out the planet will be over written. Either back up your planets (which I recommend anyway) or make sure that you are working out of a different folder.
yes i'm aware. im modding in a diffrent folder (on another harddrive) and the systems are all renamed, there is no "Akua" and such in the sector but thanks anyway for pointing that out
Aw sorry , missed the local part. I was under the impression you had this as a server out there, my bad. Didn't even know this stuff was available on the workshop aswell. Would be great to try it out, were it not i'm totally unfamiliar with all this tech stuff. But it looks very appealing, have to say.
ah i see. i'm planning to release this "galaxy" on the workshop when the basic stuff is finished. its currently running local on my pc for testing and building of the planets & stuff i dont own a public server, but maybe i'll think about that part later on would be kinda nice to run a server with that many systems/planets with like 20 - 30 people...

Set your factions starting off at :0. For instance FactionA:0 FactionB:1 FactionB:2 FactionB:3. Dont start off with '1' when setting the assigned numbers to factions. 0 will be your default.
PM me if you have any issues with your sectors or playfield yaml's...i've spent way too many hours staring at those damn config files.
