For the Empyrion 1.5 update, only what they have already publicly stated. No estimated time until it's out or details about what it contains. For Project Eden I'm working on a big space update. Probably be at least June until I'm ready to release it. Until then, I'll update the scenario for 1.5 if it comes out before then, but my next update will require a new save game (there will be a new workshop upload so existing saves can continue using existing scenario).
Some new stuff. A big buff to SV/HV thrusters since for some reason they seem to be losing power over time to the point that they're quite a bit slower than they're meant to be/originally were. A lot of immersive-based lore content. Basically, if you kill a creature, pick a plant, unlock a weapon, etc... it will download a data file to your PDA explaining about that creature/plant/item/faction (e.g. A creature's full name, size, weight, habitat, diet, etc...) like a mini wikipedia article. I haven't been doing a lot of work on this update; I got side-tracked by Valheim and then 7 Days to Die.
I’m having trouble finding aluminum ore deposits to put autominers to keep up with heavy ballistic turret ammo. Where do you usually find aluminum ore deposits?
I guess he means the Image is missing (there is always a red line in the console too) I too was thinking it might be a bug, but I figured it might just be normal, so did not report yet another minor thing.. 'just raided a Xenu Fortress - tryed different HV, even some BA to siege it, in the end i used a CV with missile turrets and it was destroyed by a single missile turrest that fired back in the process, but the fortersses shield was down. Strange thing is somehow I destroyed the core without ever figureing out where it was. when put my own core the generators were overloaded from the missing cpu XD also found a smaal quantum and some other goodies
For some POI that use a self destruct explosive for the core the exposion does not destroy the core; most times the core is behind armored glas, so I have to get a sv to blast thru and destroy the core. I think this is known, but is there a workaround, like editing the core hp in the config? (and would this fix the existing POIs?) Thanks.
Yes, it's known and will be fixed in the next update. For server owners, you can change the CoreNPC material from "device" to "metalhard" in BlocksConfig.ecf to work around the problem.
Its excellent so far. I got to the end of the progenitor story for the moment so imma explore and get the tech fragments. Also The disruptor fighters in the space elevator battle are rather buggy. They got severely hung up on the structures, and most of em ended up getting stuck. I know its heavily WIP, but its something to note for later!
Yeah I figured lol. makes the fight far less challenging when 95% of the drones got hung up on the terrain lol. I wasn't sure if that was Ai from the mod, or just Empyrions overall AI being kinda bad lol. Still. Progenitor space is excellent, and very atmospheric. Can't wait to see more added to it.
So I'm finally trying this out, and I got to the point of "kill the alien drone", fairly early on, and I can't tell what I'm doing wrong. I've shot it up with the handgun, shotgun at close range, and a few dozen rounds from the assault rifle and I can't even tell if I'm doing damage. What's up with this? Do they just have tons of HP? Also, the instructions say "shoot the red lens on front of the drone" but this drone doesn't have any red pieces. It looks like it's a minigun hanging from some kind of 2 rotor copter. So I'm not sure what the weak spot is. For now, I'm stuck because I can't figure out how to kill it and advance the story line. What am I missing?
The mission said to ensure you had a long-ranged weapon before activating the console. A pistol or shotgun are both close-range. A sniper or assault rifle will work, but they do have a lot of HP, also as the mission dialogue stated. You're fighting an automated attack helicopter, not those paper planes you fight in vanilla. The mission dialogue said to go for the lens. It did not say a "red" lens, those are on the vanilla drones. You need to shoot the green one on the front. It will still take at least half a clip of lens-shots to kill the Aerodrone.
Ok, excellent, I think I just need the sniper rifle then maybe. I figured an assault rifle would be good but after a couple dozen hits I was doubting myself. I know this scenario is supposed to be for "hardcore" players or something, but I personally would prefer to dial down enemy HP a bit, I don't want every game to be like Dark Souls level of difficulty, but I respect that some people do. I'll try again with the sniper rifle for now. Thanks for the info.
