Standard radiation behavior in both vanilla and RE. When you're exposed to radiation, your body rads increase and as long as they're over the threshold they will re-trigger radiation burns, sickness or poisoning when hit with dangerous levels of radiation. You need to use a Shower or a Decontamination Kit to purge radiation from your body. It's the second number displayed on your radiation meter. Anything over 1.0R will trigger burns.
@Deathlemming You also need a shower to get rid of the radiation in your body. This is shown at the upper right side of your screen and is right now probably at 0.9. Vermillion was faster..
Thanks for your quick replies. I have been on Vanilla/senarios since pre 1.0 but somehow and I never had this issue and never had need to use the shower. Perhaps because I most often get into a Heavy armor pretty fast and before I head to space. Using detox kits for other reasons have likely kept it at bay. My Suit was way high and i got burns back as son as i started showering so i had to do 3 detox/shower cycles before I was done. Its always fun when you discover some "new" mecanics in a game you've played for years though you also feel a bit stupid . Time to carry on with RE.
In the tech tree the artillery description also says something about emp - if i get one i only got the normal artillery available... How do i get the emp version? or is it a second fire mode?
I suppose enabling the artillery to fire the EMP in auto-targeting is not planed? For multiplayer this might be cool if you got a gunner. But I play solo and can not manually aim a gun while i fly the ship...
Not probable. It would require changes from the devs. Would be great if it was; could have multiple adjustable settings for each turret. Like gaining 3x the weapon options on a ship without using any IDs.
When you hit 1.o rads (IIRC) you get sick. You can cure this sickness with meds - as you appear to have done - but you still need to reduce the underlying rads, for example by taking a shower. Edit: that's weird, when I replied to this yours was the most recent post...forum being weird lol.
Hey- I'm currently dying-er-ah-working through "The Ark" and I'm stuck on "Jump Through The Hole In The Floor (into the sea of death)" after speaking with the guy on the balcony. Eventually the floor blows and the goal shows up, I've jumped, landed in the room, and eventually die without the goal ever being completed and I can't manually do a check through on this PDA goal. Is there a specific place I need to go or something I need to have in my inventory to make this one work? Thanks tons!
It relies on a signal. If you jump down the hole it should trigger. You might have to leave the instance and wait for it to reset then go back again (you'll need to redirect power from the outpost before going to the ark).
re: 1.7 Ship Combat Balancing Will you forward this information to MCRN fleet command so that they can inform all the jockeys in Tachi class boats since 'spinning' is the signature magic trick of the Rocinante while peppering the sky with point defence cannons? They have to get her orientation attitude completely fixed to aim the spinal railgun for obvious physical reasons but missiles and PDC's should still be fair game with a corkscrew/loop build... Maybe @Vermillion you might consider looking at the weapon energy usage instead of thrusters? Having said that though, the amount of fuel that kind of action requires makes it a strategic decision during design rather than a 'cheating exploit' if you ask me! Also hits to the engines from unfriendly ordnance delivery equipment really ruins your day
Round round baby round round I will construct what I call 'White Star' and she will twist and turn faster than any rollercoaster or defence lawyer using the forward batteries with brakes off! I'd end up like Alex from the Expanse if the game engine allowed it but since it does not I will tickle the enemy to death with a thousand pin pricks...
Good day! Thank you so much for the script and its support! Tell me, please, is it possible to somehow translate mineral deposits into the form as in the vanilla version? I don't really like looking for these ore balls in the approximate sphere))). I apologize for the machine translation.
I'm thinking of doing a fresh RE start soon, are there any update plans imminent that would be a good reason to wait a few days?
Has something been fixed regarding base attacks? I got the usual level 0 attack three days after starting my base and it consisted of a couple of the fast Bombers and two Troop Transports. This was a good early-game challenge, though I had ample defences. The next attack however was one fast bomber, which distracted my turrets for a moment - though they took it down quickly, with four of the larger (twin rotor) Minigun Drones following behind. Due to my turrets being distracted - and the usual re-targetting delay - these guys actually did a decent amount of damage, which was dead cool. Note: I did deliberately build my base in a large open area, rather than tucked next to or underneath a hill or cliff, to give the AI a decent chance. perhaps that's what did the trick? Edit: Ooo, this is doubly-good. I got attacked first after three days of placing the Base starter down, then again one day later. I had the message to say the attack was over, then, a couple of minutes later two Troop Transports approached. This is really good.
I am really enjoying this scenario s far. Great work! A couple of observations playing on Haven with enemy difficulty set to "easy" and base attacks set to "normal". You know better than I what is intentional. 1) No base attacks at all. There is a Zriax zone on Haven with defenses but no drone base and no attacks at all. The Tal'on have a better chance of attacking me at 50%. 2) No predators at all on the outdoor Haven map. Well... I found a single batch of alien bugs. Plenty of passives but no spiders or anything else. There is a spider nest POE, but I haven't seen any spiders yet... then again I have only gotten close in a ship. 3) (spoiler ahead) Some parts of the story where enemies are supposed to show up, they don't . Notably, the mission where I am repairing the satellites. None ever spawned. I had to skip forward in the mission to satisfy the "killed 0/2" and "killed 0/3" sections of that mission. Other enemies, both ships and troops, have shown up in missions but not on that occasion. 4) I seem to be dropping thrusters into the factory and getting no credit for Neodymium. I dropped 4 thrusters in there of different sizes and it still says 0000 Neodymium. Not sure about other rare elements because my blueprint only needs Neo. Thanks again for this amazing scenario!
