V: A10.6.0 Mode: Survival. Mode: Singleplayer. SERVER NAME: no. SEED-ID: global seed 458023, playfield seed 964849. If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: Yes (only modify config for solar panels). Reproducibility: Yes. Severity: Low, Medium. Type: Summary: Rocks throws one of the pieces somewhere. Description: When mining rocks (common rocks or mineral rocks) one of the two pieces will be shot somewhere randomly. You can go up, back, or to the sides and you have to go looking for it 10 meters away if you can see where it jumps. It can also fall on the floor and only a single piece remains. I could see the problem in common rocks, in iron, prometium and copper rocks (very often in copper), but never in silicon. Steps to Reproduce: mine rocks and you'll see what happens in 50% of cases SummaryRocks lanza una de las piezas a alguna parte.
Well, no. I was collecting rocks and several jump, fall beyond the reach, open the console and I have no warnings of any kind related to this. The message I have at that moment is one of the base attacks of 15 minutes ago. The truth is not annoying, it is even fun to see a rock jump 2 meters and fall again, only sometimes you can not see what happened with the second piece you do not see when jumping to the side. If there is a lot of vegetation, you can give it up because it is difficult to find. As I said before, it does not happen with silicon (it can only fall through the ground).
Is this happening when using manual drills or when using HV fixed drills..or both? IF something like an ore ingot drops through the ground, there would be an issue. But as i understand, they "hop" somewhere else but are not lost?
I only use manual drill. It happens with survival tool and with the drill. Today I found sarcosium ore and I was surprised jumping towards me! So much that I shook my head like I was really going to hit XD. But they also fall across the terrain and I have no error messages in any case !! Edited: At the last minute I have some lines in red. I hope it helps. I also got several CoQ during a base attack! Solo uso taladro manual.
Oh...so when there is a CoQ (indicated by that NullReferenceException) some functions of the game can go out-of-bounds... So it would be interesting if your issue happend BEFORE or AFTER the Exception/CoQ ...
The rocks are thrown since the start of the game. Long before having a base, long before having a base attack. CoQ messages started when I have a drone base attack. Every drone attack, when I want to shoot a drone I have a message, up to 3 in total one after another. I have a crazy week at work. On the weekend I give the log and update the thread.
The weapon, shooting, explosion CoQs are fixed in the Next Update There not related to this bug report
No, they are lost in most cases. Here is a short clip showing 5 different rocks falling through the terrain when mined. Some of them end up on some weird second terrain layer below the terrain, and some of them fall through that as well. I had god mode activated so that I could quickly hit "G" and look below the terrain as they fall through it. I wasn't able to capture it on video, but with some rocks they don't just fall straight down, they shoot off in some direction first and then fall through the terrain in most cases. There are no errors of any kind in the console window after these fall through either. I probably mined only 20-30 rocks to capture these 5 falling through the terrain. I clipped them all into one short video for ease of viewing. This is in Exp version 10.6.0 Build 2695 in a brand new game I created just for this video. No modified playfields or config. Edit And what is with this weird second terrain layer under the normal terrain? It's not bedrock, as in some cases bedrock is way higher or lower than that second layer. And the bedrock depth seems to vary depending on where you are on the planet with some areas being much deeper than others.
Please look for copper ore rocks! For some reason the videos on my computer only launch black image with audio. I tried two programs with the same result. Then look for copper ore rocks. In my case it could be that 50% jump! A case bean jumping! And on some occasions the sathium mineral rock jumps towards the screen! apologize! I have noticed an error in a previous post. [QUOTE = "cmguard, post: 372800, member: 25004"] sarcosium ore and I was surprised jumping [/ QUOTE] It is sathium ore rock !!
I don't understand why these tools can't just auto gather the broken rock straight into our inventory, just like the survival tool does with logs? Hunting around for broken fragments on the ground adds nothing useful to gameplay.
@Hummel-o-War @Taelyn™ I see the thread is marked as retest and re-report. I can say it's still happening in the most recent update.
Hi guys. Very busy, two weeks away from home to try. Last Saturday I played a few hours a new version 11 game updated until that day and still happening. I could only test on common rocks and silicon ore, iron and copper. Copper falls on the ground and a part is lost very often and can also jump as before. Anyway, in my case it remains the same. Hola chicos.
Nice vid...lol I was wondering why I was only getting one ore sometimes. (...Last time I played survival searching for gold)
A fix for this now released on the experimental branch https://empyriononline.com/threads/alpha-11-5-experimental-refinements.91665/
