Build: 1.5 3360 Mode: survivial Mode: singleplayer SERVER NAME: not applicable SEED-ID: any Reproducibility: Yes Severity: Minor Type: SV flight model Summary: SV's steering becomes progressively lighter when cargo weight is increased. Expected behaviour would be getting heavier as load increased. Description: Any SV I build in game, with weights and volumes switched on, when I start loading up with cargo (20t of iron ore) the SV is much lighter to steer when empty. When SV is at its weight limit the steering is incredibly flighty and somewhat hard to control. Steps to Reproduce: >Start a single player Survival game with weights and measures on >Construct an SV (I used thrusters only for steering, no RCS blocks) > Use mouse to steer (pilot mode off) > Load up a large amount of heavy cargo, stone, ore, etc. > Use mouse to steer (pilot mode off) > Compare loaded/unloaded behaviour.
Is there a specific ship you tested this with? Loading a controller can shift the center of mass of the ship in a way that allows the thrusters to generate more torque, which would make the ship turn better. Just want to verify that this behavior is more than that.
