For more information see here Bug Report Template Build:1.8.2 3846 Mode: Survival Mode: Single Player SERVER NAME:n/a SEED-ID:770595 If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: Reproducibility:Unable Severity : Crash: Significant loss of materials in game Type:not Global (??) Summary: Unity Crashed returning to atmosphere on Akua Description: I was returning to my base on Akua. I had re-entered atmosphere and was oriented to fly toward my base. About 5 to 10 seconds of flight I got some colorful Unity crash popup followed by lag and eventual game crashed and quit me back to Windows. I did a Steam verify of files and reloaded from the save. When loading completed, I was "in the sky" and my SV was nowhere to be found. I fell out of the sky- got two broken bone buffs and was attacked by raptors (not relevant, I know but dude! that sucked ). I immediately initiated god mode and found that my SV (id =2299) was at the north pole (exactly). I enabled teleport (tt in console) and teleported there. Nothing. It seems like it is at the center of Akua!!! I made a copy of the save before I did anything else and have uploaded the file here : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AJVuVf9FEzzFpVKfisMz4gaXPmKNmet8/view?usp=sharing Steps to Reproduce: 1) 2) 3) Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links:
I just ran into this same thing last night. Returning to Akua in an SV. Broke atmosphere. 3 seconds later, a brief Unity crash pop-up threw me out of the game. When I got back in, I was falling from 1000m up directly over the crash site you start the game at on Akua. My ship was nowhere to be seen. So I used the registry to find it, and it was 5km below the surface of the polar region. Or at least it WAS until I actually reached the marker, which suddenly shifted back to the surface where I recovered the ship (upsidedown with the engines at full blast) and was able to finally return to playable space. For good measure, when I exited the cockpit at my base, the game broke both my legs.
The ship usualy is in the playfield before the change and crash happens. If you enter atmosphere and crash happened, then the sip is still in orbit. You can always find your in the registry looking on the play fields and filtering by the type of ship. Also you can use the "find my ship" utility for Empyrion by @byo13
Same to me yesterday, went from Skilion to Masperon to collect some cobalt, few seconds after entering atmosphere, unity crashed. Upon returning to game spawned in mid air, with no ship.
Had another one again today. This time returning to Omicron after a short trip to the trading station in orbit. Instead of the ship vanishing though, I came back into the game with it sitting underneath me, engines off. So it immediately began plummeting to the ground with me following it down. Fortunately I was still close enough to get back into the cockpit and turn the power back on, but as before, once I landed at base and got out, the game broke both my legs again. Unity seems to have it in for me
I just applied the last patch and I have the same, crash, crash, crash each time I move in or out AKUA. Unity fugitive error. I will try another planet. EDIT : I just tried another planet, worked fine, don't know if its chance, or only Akua making trouble for me. Fortunately the game crash does not corrupt the save, and I can recover. I will try Omicron.
