Starting designing an end game CV for myself at last - it still just a skeleton, some vague bits of hull (that will probably change a lot), but most importantly - it has some Jefferies tubes (that actually serve a purpose instead of 'GNDN') - a ship ain't a proper ship without Jefferies tubes No top deck or bridge yet - still a lot is skeletal and open to space. Thrusters were slapped temporarily on just to see if my estimates on counts were about right or not. No external detail or texturing yet, only a little internal. Turrets kind of thrown on to get a sense of spacing (they are too close at the moment). Jefferies tubes serving as crawl spaces to give you access to everything.
Fine, fine. If you run out of CPU or get too close to the limit consider to leave one of those T3 ? -Generators away. (One of them does rally give an ample amount of Power even for your amount of L-Thruster.)
Yes - thanks - and absolutely right. Peak power using forward and lift while shield changing and all possible weapons active, mining lasers in use etc is still just under 20%, so yes - complete overkill I am also considering it working well with project eden and/or reforged. I cant remember if either changes power though, I think it is just thrusters. Current mass is around 25kt and I expect it to come in a little over 35kt. It isn't big, but most of the front is pretty much solid combat steel with a few small rooms in the area and heavy bulkheads between sections, so high mass for its size I guess.
Just spawned into my Survival Game, for a real NAY-Sayer, this nice looking, but massively Out-of-Date Ship. It works even with M/V and CPU active...
If someone or some People like to use it - CPU OFF of course - They may use it. They may consider to change the Outdated Cargo-Containers though. All now at 250 Vol. Also the OoD Harvest Containers. With all Backup Gens active the Vessel has 2.55M PU available. Not Real necessary. Whoever has build it he/she did a great Job with all the Deco, Texture and Details. No Issue with that. But its last update was with A8.7.1...
WIP (BA) G9 Outside, Block-wise, finished. So far So good. Interior...A lot of Work ahead. But BP first. than spawn it in my Survival Game on the Planet below - to test SI. Which I believe it will pass with ease.
^ Just looking over your base and I naturally recoil at the thought of using railing covers as a landing pad - that's my space engineers background kicking in because if you tried that in SE (with everything being so fragile) the whole lot would probably fall apart as soon as you landed on it Looks great - looking forward to seeing it textured
Made some more progress on internals. Hangar area pretty much done along with a first pass of the CIC/Combat bridge and two grow areas above the hangar corners. Added some bollards and a STOP projection to make it easy to land in correct place in 1st person view (I miss the cameras from SE). Same with lights off Constructor and medical facilities in the hangar - clone will be elsewhere. 4 constructors, 4 x 320k storage + 120k each for ammo and ore - all hangar side. CIC/Combat bridge Also grow areas, hangar side constructors/medical: Now working on the hull which is currently in bits spread over several copies of the ship to make it easier to shuffle stuff around without cutting into the middle bit - hopefully it might fit back together after Combat steel blocks really need to be in stacks of 10k+ - amazing how quick you go through a stack of 999...
Had a fun adventure today. Needed to find me some Neo, but every planet I visited lacked the resource. I found this a tempting target: Bet THEY have some Neo. The problem is; in Raviens scenario, hurting your rep with Polaris takes a LONG time to recoup. So I am wary of even firing my weapons around them. Someday I would love to piss them off and then run through my Polaris Asset Protection instead of the testing I did, but that will have to wait for a broader faction system. For now, the desert planet met my needs but I discovered I did not have enough Sathium. This prompted me to raid a Rados com center, and then I remembered that collapsing a structure is super fun and a great way to harvest resources. So I began the excavation efforts: Is taking a bit.... should be any second now: What in tarnation???: Then finally, with a single 3 level block: Weeeeeeeee! *click**click**click**click**click**click**click**click**click**click**click* Golly that is fun. Now on to what was a strange looking moon.... with blue clouds... What a gorgeous Crystalline moon! Wow! This cave reminded me of the Cave in Un'Goro crater in WoW: Have some dangerous neighbors though: Was going to build a base for CV construction, but I think I will move on. Gotta go find me the New Content that I am Sure Ravien has added the last 5 months and visit the plasma planet.
What an adventure you had! There are two types of plasma planets now (adding a third in alpha 12). You might have to warp to another solar system to find the second variant.
Started on the Destroyer's interior. Despite being so large, there's not much space for living since all the "engineering" sections take up most of the internal space, and although not necessary and big I don't wanna get rid of the Reactor Room. The Reactor Room. The heart of the ship. Hangar Starboard lower deck corridor Cargo bay Port Engineering room.
WIP (BA) G9 Status after placing it on the Planet Surface, SI is the good side had only small changes to do. Base stands now, before applying texture and more Devices at T3 but will need T4 when finished.
