Hooked up my new PC today and spent most of it getting it set up and reinstalling all the old stuff. My old PC was 10 years old and this new one with all the glowing doo-dads can run empyrion on all maxed settings and start a fresh game in 5 seconds. So most of what i've done today was interior deco and texturework of the new trade station.
LOL! Lets be honest with ourselves; MOST of what you were doing today was stroking your PC and marveling at all the new sights and sounds that it could render in Empyrion... ... ... ... God I need a new PC...
Got back to working on my cruiser CV. Still a long way from finished. I ended up gutting the hull and extended it slightly so I could move some thrusters around and the end result seems to be decent maneuverability for a ship of this size and I can now walk from one end to the end without having to pass too close to hot spots. Also redid the engine room again More room inside now for much larger grow plot area (there are two of these)
Finished the first set of Expanded Universe configs. Will be moving onto the last iteration of Reforged Galaxy for A11 later. Extended Universe lets you pick and choose which customization you want for your game without changing anything else. Builder's Paradise: Removed CPU cost from all building blocks and reduces CPU cost of cargo containers. Ground Commander: Hard Mode PvE FPS combat. Space Commander: Better AI turrets and buffed turrets while manned. Loot Commander: Better balanced enemy and POI loot. Larger stacksizes for components and food. Supreme Commander: Ground, Space and Loot commander combined. Better Thrusters: Better balanced thrusters, because the devs are useless at doing anything with thrusters. Won't break any builds. Working on a new concept - A Transport SV that carry cargo and a HV. Current Features: - Warp Drive - Shield Generator - Constructor - Oxygen Station - Armor Locker - A decent amount of cargo space (can be expanded) - 3 Homing Rocket Launchers - 2 Gatling Guns - Retractable Landing Gear Still a WIP. So all of that is subject to change. Appearance is also subject to change,... I just threw some textures and colors on to get an idea of how I want to style the craft. Note: I also think this could be used with a storage/constructor pod type of HV docked to the underbelly. Just used for extra storage and such. Any thoughts / feedback ?
This is only a thought. With your guns in the middle of the wing like they are. If those are targeted by the AI you could lose your whole wing and thrusters real quick. But other then that I love the look of it!
Probably find it would carry on with a wing that is no longer connected, but still there TBH with the cheap way explosions currently work (ie radius that ignores armor), best to just not get hit at all without shields in an SV or HV.

Started a new SP Survival Game today, on the....NO...not again...wait! I started on the Snow Dwarf. I froze to death in first 2 Minutes in the Game as my Pod came down on a Mountain Range. Temperature was -78° Celsius(-108.4 F). At least it could only get warmer when sliding down to the Valley. What it actually was.... +15° in the small wooded Area...and only 600m away from the Lost Colony. So I gathered all kind of Mats, slowly leveled up, learned how top make a Armor...next WTF-Moment...how should I put it on? OK, collecting more Stuff, picking Plants, Mining Rocks, got Level 5 and spawned in my smallest HV! *sighofrelief* With the Onboard Armor Locker I could change Cloth and moving towards the Colony...only to discover in the first Closet I come across ... a Heavy Armor! After 20 Minutes it was "freed" and now I can consider my next steps.
Wow... that takes "Cold Start" hilariously literally... I'm now wondering if I should think twice before not adding a Armor Locker to all my low lvl HV Builds from now on... somehow... I still just can't seem to get used to the notion of being forced to be reliant on Armor that I can't even take on or off myself...
I generally have an armor locker stuck to an hv core in blueprints...not like the damn thing needs power.
All of my HV's have been built on the Dead Planet with -25° C and 7.0 rad. Therefore it was paramount to add a Armor locker on each of them. (the one I spawned is the 3rd from the right)
I did them today and i can say... I hate big buildings.. TSN Command Center (Planetary) ; TSN Trade Station (Planetary) ;
