I suppose I only needed to add 170 tons, but if I did my math right I tested the SV with an extra 350 tons. Lifted off Akua without redlining, about 30%. Maybe later I will get some time to take the laden Haemolymph prototype to Omicron to test there. Spoiler: Testing the Haemolymph prototype. That isn't my tank. I had to see if the Warmonger fit. Longer than my own HV tank, but narrower. I didn't realize that until this bit of testing. And, yes, it fit. The green marks adequate space to park the Thunder Naiad, while the blue lines would be the Warmonger, leaving two blocks to spare on each side of the two HV tanks measured. This gives me an idea of the space I have to work with to fix some of the elements of the prototype SV. You can check my math, but that those are all the artificial blocks set at 1.25 tons each. So according to my math, that is 25 tons per grouping and 14 groupings for a total of 350 tons. And here is what the acceleration numbers look like with the extra weight.
HAHAHAHAHA! I saw that! Rawr! Little did you know that is actually a secret weapon! Its called a Cu'tton S'ead Cannon! That is its delicate BUT SUPER DANGEROUS projectile. It works by sneaking up on you and tickling you in the nose, or making you sneeze from allergies.
im going to try this creative thing without using model imports, for thos who care to see me start something what do you think i should do a HV, CV, SV or BA?
tac.....what r you playing right now? What do you need in game? If that doesn't work for you......make a HV for the latest challenge. Or version three.....In 8.0 we are gonna need smoking CV's to hold and carry....new worlds to explore and Biggger. So juice up aand make a caravan for system jumping.....and maybe a little camping out in the stars...
My absolute least favorite thing about submitting to the Workshop is the fact that at least half of my screenshots need to be converted to .jpg before Steam will let me upload them as they're often juuuuust above Steam's size limit in .png format. As for what I've been doing: procrastinating on texturing my ufo CV
Awesomesauce Imagination! & too late, Upvoting done already! Also, ROFL at how that Second Screenie caught that Floating Seed Thingie in a perfect position to create the Optical Illusion of it being something clinging onto & trying to attach to one of those Creations! Screw Omicron... no better test then Aestus. IMHO anything that doesn't Redline on Aestus won't Redline anywhere Vanilla. ... That's not gonna kill **** unless it coerces something into dying laughing. IMHO when working on powering up Novice Building Force Powers on working on building from scratch, HV or SV is best, depending on if you're better at building Hover Dudes or Flying dudes. CVs are damn big cans of worms to build, Space Bases take a ton of Brain Brawn as well, & Planetary Bases aren't even worth it cause their Post-Factory Spawn In SI is still bugged & prone to catastrophic failure. Steam needs to learn how to Code. :/
I got a super handy thing for you Monk - I used to hate that too, but I discovered that whenever in any steam game if press F12 it takes a .jpg screenshot for you! So not need to convert, the only tricky thing is training windows where to find it. Hopefully this helps alleviate your pains a great deal. Your invader was an excellent ship, I hope to see more of your stuff.
Aestus: 74% cruising. 98% turns (redline). Omicron: 86% cruising (warning). 110 % turns. Suspecting it might be atmospheric density that was a big key I quickly checked the map for the highest density I could find. Masperon: 103% cruising. 137% turns. Out of curiosity, I removed 125 tons of the artificial weights and same results. So reducing overall weight was not a factor in that. I think I need to move some of my testing to Masperon. Thank you. I had a little fun redlining some of my favorites.
Oooh that's super helpful, thanks. I've hunted down Steam's own screenies before, I can do so again! And thank you so much. I really enjoy your builds, too! Your color work is great. Infinity showed me the beauty potential of that warm brown color on metallic textures.
Forgive for interrupting but I didn't follow most of this conversation...I F12 in game and then go to my name in steam menu pull down to content and upload or use that screenshot.. Is this not the way to do this? All of this talk about converting and size limits is not anything I have run across.
even better, when exiting the game, you have a choice to upload it to your steam profile. Then go to your steam profile, get the code and just link them on here
Aestus no longer being the strongest Stress Test...? I wonder if that's even Intended, or Bugage...? They might be forgetting that those weren't the Default Hotkeys. I tend to Rebind 'Take Steam Screenie' to F12 in the Steam Options Menu somewhere or other.
I thought all steam screenshots were .jpg files? When I had photos to my workshop stuff I just open the screenshots folder and upload them in the workshop. They are all default to .jpg and at 2k resolution as well. They always upload fine for me. Is there a way to set the steam screenshots to another file type as default?
Must be, all my steam screenshots are jpg too Screw Vanilla, I test on Vertigo (1.4g) and Vertigo Prime (2.1g). However, just about EVERYTHING that is not just a base, WILL redline on Vertigant (3.1g), unless you do like tripple the generators and thrusters per side -> which certainly IS an overkill. Until 8.0 i will just bugfix and improve what is there of the currnt Vertigo Cluster - in the time i'm not building ships..... *cough* And i really need to 'reserve' some time to create (and adjust) custom POI's, now that I can add them. Thx again @jmcburn, @LiftPizzas, @ASTIC Issue is, I'm a building machine... Current project probably ends up somewhere between FE403 Ikarus and the TDN Glacier Star. Thought, its also 'inspiration based' on the Xen'uan Carrier and I still want to 'apply' something of the SEV Celestial. As you can imagine, this probably is not just a 3 day project, as i've already spent 2.5 days drawing... This said, i pre-drawn 5 sheets of DIN A4 paper for it. 4 for the length and 2 (outter sideways) for the width. To compare, for the Seraphim Carrier I had used 1 sheet of paper. Hope it gets somewhere close to what I imagine Have a good day!
Yes there is but it is not very obvious, like most things in steam are not. Setting the uncompressed save for the screenshots, saves them as PNG. Steam overlay does not work in Empyrion though. Seems there is an override configuration for function keys from the game. Depending on the operating system steam saves those PNGs under %userprofile%\pictures. Better set the directory yourself and check if it works.
