i haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but I'm looking forward to it onnakonna I need ALL the help I can get! (especially spelling "on account of")
I plan to finish four of my prototype racers, but that will probably take me some time considering how I keep bouncing around between projects. So I chose one as my entry for the Zero-G challenge and focused on finishing that one for now. Still have to finish the display yet. At least it is started. Spoiler: Pics and link Rail #85 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1359737640 I loved using some glass blocks as parts of this build. The capital vessel is not a part of the challenge, but I love how it lights up the display.
Project Ebon Hawk progress report: I was working on the main hold today adding a few more details and then I began laying out corridors starting in the middle and branching off from there. I've got the medical room and the lift access roughed in. Laid out the four way intersection past that and started roughing in the engine room but I came up a little short. Had to send the droids back in to lengthen the ship again but it's finally patched up. That should be the last time I have to alter the dimensions of the ship. I just pray I don't need to alter them further. Man I can't wait to start texturing this. The lack of emissive computer screen textures is killin' me though.
Το Kieve and every one I made some progress today. In fact I ended up with two versions of her. The first is modified to accommodate a landing pad lower on the stern. But as long as I was making progress I realised that she can only receive small SVs or HVs. The second, which is my favorite, ended up with a landing pad on the upper part of the stern. Here are some photos. Remember that she is not ready yet. I try to be as gentle and respectful to the original hull design so any modifications look as natural as possible. I used the original Aetheria SV from the internal blueprint library as model and comparison. Spoiler: Atheria CV progress photos part 1
And now you understand why I haven't done a CV version myself She just wasn't styled to be a capital vessel. That being said, it's good progress. One thing I'd strongly recommend would be to "widen" and extend the rear/underside, so that rather than carving a chunk out of the back to make space for a hangar door, the entire back end is reworked to accommodate it. The idea of housing the SV version inside a CV version might be playing with fire though - you'd lose a lot of internal space and a good chunk of the design itself trying to fit in a hangar big enough for that. At any rate, you do what you feel works.
I think you copied my designs. /s Your recreation of the Scimitar looks really good. Not enough people use ramps for wings imo.
Hi, I recently published a HV mining vessel that has close to the largest coverage possible using 6 T1 drill. It's almost finished imo and I wondered what would you guys think about it and how I could improve it, either aesthetically or functionally. Here it is : Workshop I want to work on the textures but may lack creativity for now...
Thx T Well, I haven't seen your special design before. Although the design might look similar, it can't be a copy since the Infiltrator is designed in this way with inward shaped wings. In first way I built the wings with blocks but when I was looking for a landing gear solution I thought why not to do the same with the wings and tried it for the look. Fortunately the size of the ramps fitted. We just need more different ramps for more useful designs!! I have a CV in progress were you cant see the hangar doors until you come close. The door is coverd with ramps and shutter doors sliding away in 4 directions revealing the Hangar door behind.
In between the work on a planetary vessel base (the cv exists already ), the reward for the upcoming race event, i thought that the CV needs an according SV. As it is of the ERA line, and I wanted to tweak my Trike line even smaller, and I did. While I was on it, I replaced the 130mm MSL with the 135mm HMSL, and ADDED 4 Plasma cannones Yes, after making that small ship even 1 blockrow less tall, I added more weapons, thanks to the extend wings i've prepared in the prvious Trike line So, may I herby proudly present you the ERA-S Trike C: As well as the completed Race Event Reward, the ERA-C Trigon: The CV is just for friends as of now. Spoiler: But here are some images EDIT: As you see, I 'fixed' the pipes as @Kieve suggested, and as you dont see, got rid of the symbol as such.
Tried to make an HV racer, but got creative. It's heavier than I like but uses that huge prefab cockpit so +1.
so SBS server is going full star wars theme in 8.0 so i decided to to play the role of the CEO of Corellian Engineering Corporation and build ships for every faction once i get self efficient in ores and ill be using a lot of ships on the workshop it seems lol 2 bottom ships im having remade since they are to high of a size class for the SBS server but all ships above in time will be on my list to sell for credits to the rebel, bounty hunter or empire factions and thanks to @Haro and his epic star war ships he is remaking the large one on the bottom to the right https://www.sw-fans.net/wiki/index.php/CD-710-class_Heavy_Destroyer this Destroyer will be my new flagship im also building a Arc Hammer as seen here for 8.0 but on hold till 8.0 comes out.
Another day, another blueprint uploaded to the workshop. Other than the texture work, the Red Hawker was mostly done many weeks ago. However, as I was finalizing the details, I noticed that it redlined easily over Omicron. Chose to fix that. Spoiler: Pics and link [edit] Forgot the link. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1360645642 While not the cheapest starting SV, it does stick to the basic materials, so no cobalt. I have used its predecessor, the Blue Hawker at level 25 as a scout with its six gatling guns. I wanted an alternate with some of the same key features of the Blue Hawker but with a different look. Something that I could spawn at low levels and keep using for some time. Most of the Dragonfly Industry fighters have their thrusters and RCS divided into at least two groups. The Red Hawker keeps with this tradition. So even though I fixed the redline issue for Omicron, you can still cut half the maneuver to save fuel. Like the Blue Hawker before it, the Red Hawker is warp drive ready. Cavities included for adding a warp drive, the fuel tank, and two constructors. As I said, no cobalt required to build this, but it is ready for those next add-ons.
