will not be building anything more till after 8.0 starting today, i got to get ready to get out of unstable 8.0 today so i can just update al my builds in stable 8.0 tomorrow.
We were eager to start another game last night, even though we'll only have a couple game sessions before the release of Alpha 8.0 on Tuesday. We're going to explore the planet as much as possible, take pictures, gather resources, and shoot NPCs a bit. We spawned inside our MP shelter in the Starter Biome, and it's located at the base of a small mountain. On our second day, I climbed up the mountain to take screenshots of the sunrise. I took some shots from the summit, but came down the slope so I could capture the moon at the same time. Spoiler: The rest of the story and some screenshots While I scouted for a location to make our base, I found a spot with some beautiful hills and small ponds. I was so impressed I called it "a beautiful, magical..." and then just kept looking around at the area. We found three amazing locations, but decided to continue exploring to the west. I tumbled down a steep hill on my motorbike and went upside down! I thought there wont be another chance to see this glitch, but it happened again later. The only way to fix the camera is to get off the bike, but the second time freaked me out. I climbed off the bike and fell through the ground into a hollow planet with no jetpack , but then I was teleported above the hill and fell gently to the ground. When the ground was solid, I breathed a major sigh of relief! @Friendly Timo was able to build the starter HV he designed--it made travel so much faster and safer than the bike. Timo picked me up and we went to check out a beach I located. A beach always works well for our faction base because of all the relatively flat space to build and park vessels. I spawned the little Finnish cottage starter base we used in our last adventure. We set up on the eastern side of a lake, and our base faces the setting sun. It's a relaxing place to enjoy the views, but our solar panels also get decent exposure during the daylight hours (not so much at dawn). I think we'll probably have our faction HQ here later this week, so we wanted to get a feel for how to set up our property. I think the terrain for our seed will probably be the same when 8.0 is released to the public branch. At least, I really hope so! Our chosen base location is not far from the wreckage and ore deposits around it, and the place with the lovely ponds isn't too far away either. That would make a nice spot to build a small resort--I'm very inspired to do that if the terrain is unchanged on Tuesday. I can't wait to get our "real adventure" started this week!
I had myself one great EGS weekend! Sadly most of the MP servers are in a bit of a tailspin as the hot fixes buggered up various worlds, so I started a brand new 8.0.7 SP game (which continued fine thru the 8.0.8 hot fix). I almost always play on MP servers, just because I like for there to be other people around. Yet now I am reminded of the sweet bliss of having the entire galaxy to myself! (okay, solar system, but it feels like a galaxy.) Starting a new game and playing up to level 22 I can say that the game is stable. I even managed to clean out my favorite POI, the Famous Abandon Mine. Being SP I re-cored it and then took everything I wanted. I also used the trade station for the first time ever to get my NV goggles. I do have a couple of notes: Lots of spiders. Not a bad thing at all: Mass XP and easy to hose down from my SV. Zirax AI needs more alert conditions set. They are fairly easy to gank. They seem to be deaf, and rather casual about their comrades exploding nearby. Quad gatling guns makes short work of these lads. The spiders are very alert and always eager to eat me! Somehow the HV seems to be better. It is less prone to flipping or sinking into lakes. Perhaps my new design is just better? I found no bugs of any kind in the BP system. I think all that has been sorted out in vanilla SP. Did I mention spiders? Overall when starting out a new game with no modifications I found it to be stable and ready to go, with only a few well known issues at play. I look forward to getting back on my MP servers tomorrow!

Do the dead critters body parts go into the harvest container? (a nice, and ghoulish thought at the same time).

Actually, been trying to do that . . . Damn things keep jumping over my double stack grinder . . . Not Impressed Why the hell do they go after the HV Core anyway? Are they actually Replicators from Stargate?
So I really like @Fractalite 's Merry Mincer (https://empyriononline.com/threads/what-did-you-do-in-empyrion-today.2826/page-614#post-239484) so I took a shot at making one, but with a bit more 'mobile base' & Death To Spiders! Still a wip but so far... oh. Named it the "DTS-Saw" heh Took the roof off to get a pic of the interior; plus haven't decided if I want side-by-side Arty up there, if so need to push the roof miniguns out one. Also may nix the rear door since the side decks are so big it's basically un-needed. Anyway, all critques/comments are welcome!
I forgot you can only have one arty turret on HVs. So here's one possible roof, and, I'm sad to say, a paint job... gahh it's sooo bad! I'll take another stab at it later, but don't be suprised to see it in dark grey w a few black & maroon bits
good morning guys! today i have another prototype from my new Jericho Transport M. Thanks for the feedback because the first prototype .. now here are the changes: -add separate engine room -delete generators outside of the ship -delete inner thruster who was seen -change the position of hangar and cargo container -setup a seperate "Space Thrust" Unit in control panel (for better energy control) -logicsystem in hangar now works -retextured wall behind the warp drive the blueprint are avaiable for download. btw here are a shortly leak, why i was afk since the last upload:

Nice one. I really like the landing assist, landing in hangars can be a pain if there isn't enough room for the 3rd person camera.
