@binhthuy71 Thank you . It is just a (failed) attempt to build one of the ships of 'elite force' . Doesnt look anything like it - but i like it regardless
It's a good looking ship. Although the build system is great I've never had much luck trying to model vessels from other sources. At best they look "inspired by."
You're right. "Inspired by" is the only explanation you can give if your ship or Outpost look ugly as hell instead of how it was intended to
Real nice ship, reminds me of the ships in Elite dangerous. The one thing I dislike about it though is the "spoiler". I reckon there's better ways to get more hardpoints. I'll definitely check it out though.
This "Tatooine"-like Desert Planet...more like Dune, even the Music... has some small water filled holes. Not only at Polar Regions as I noticed today
Started supplying my factory with materials today. For my flagship, the FA-003 Dominion (The big CV, a few pages back). I need to go off-world a lot, since it requires a buttload of resources and the desert planet has no silicon (Judging by your screenshot Germanicus, all desert planets have the same ore generation), zascosium and erestrum. Fortunately, the 13k sathium and iron needed for the ship was easily handled by salvaging a large POI. (Seriously, that's ridiculous. I got enough iron and sathium from 1 POI to build 3 of these ships. Why are they made of solid combat steel?)
Thank you and yes, one of those ships had inspired me... one cheaper than the vulture… i guess some normandy sr13 Explorer 'Cobra MK III' or something? i dont own the game, i was just watching bit my friend playing it. What is a hardpoint please? That is not translated by Google, thus it makes no sense to me, sorry. The spoiler i've added after i figured it doesnt look as intended, and as i wanted/needed more weapons, namley H-MSL's Figured i already had a nice place, indicating a spoiler, so i've continued on that block For those interested: Spoiler: pics of wip Flunder Early on.... We're getting somewhere Doesnt look too bad yet…. This however, does… each spot was bombarded with at least 3 salves of 4x H-MSL's… still airtight and flies like a charm
A hardpoint is a place on an airframe designed to carry a load. Bombs, missiles, drop tanks, are all hung on hardpoints.
@binhthuy71 Thanks for the Explanation! @T431 I'm curious bout where you'd place the rockets, without removing any other weapons System that is installed already. But in the end, noone stops you from removing the spoiler and the railguns, and just put the rockets in the railgun slots
I've built the factory, which is filled with constructors. It also has some landing pads and a docking port of it's own for easier shipping. This is really starting to feel like a proper settlement now!
And it has a platform that actualy can be used to spawn medium sized CVs (class' 5-15) I assume Looks like a great start!
That is something I asked myself several times now..Why not using Armored Concrete...alas if you look all those Builders out there who make Bases..Whats the last addition to the PreFab Bases? Steel, what else?
Im trying it again (but as CV compared to the SV Flunder)…. same ship from elite dangerous... it's name is Cobtra MK3.. Spoiler: my 'template' screenshot How it is looking 'now'.... Spoiler: on the way there... It is just a little bit bigger than anticipated. Considering it is a CV not a SV anymore... that is So far, i'm in love with it... best chances for awesome engine halls, maintainenance room… The design of the hull gave so much freedom on the inside, with just perfect conditions for easy Building... Probably done within the next 4-5 hrs Yet, i've done the back thrusters already different, because we do not have such 'LED engines', and any thruster S at the side would not be near enough thrust for a ship of this size.. while the borders still would be too wide/high.
Quite brave of you to take on a ship with a shape so hard to make in Empyrion. I wonder how it'll turn out!
You definitely have to be Swiss to try to bring "long Slopes" to life! We all...: And so we are not now that strength which in old days moved Earth and Heaven, that which we are, we are, - one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
Today I finished another POI. I think I built better stuff, but I'm happier with the inside as it turned out. From there the player feel itself tiny when look up to the structure, because this is mostly an open building.
I have planned for some time that when I near the end of completing my collections, they will each get a large CV. The smallest of these is the Limpkin for FTB which I have previously shared some of the early work on that. The largest and final piece will be the Grand Emperor, a carrier for Dragonfly Industries. Sweet Lemons will get the second largest, the Kenetic battle cruiser with the fake massive turrets I had spoiled here a long time ago it seems. These three have all had something started as far as a blueprint. The one that was intended to get concealed weapons had never had a single block placed until today. I had doodle of the general shape. Something to be quite different than most of my vessels. Never intended to land on a planet, the Aspire CV was to be tall instead. I think this initial frame is turning out a lot better than I thought it was going to be when I was looking at my doodles. The frame seen here is 96 meters wide, 108 meters deep and 234 meters high. Of course, I am satisfied with my distraction now and will try to finish the Create in the next few weeks, sooner if I can manage to avoid many more of these distractions. And, oh yeah, here's the update on the Hope CV as of last night. Got both the hangars transferred from doodles to the blueprint. Cut and paste is why the small hangar isn't joined to anything right now. That is where I want the hangar, but I am uncertain how I want to join the small hangar to the primary reactor. And although I know that the bridge and standard CV facilities will need to be in that gap and create the final join of those parts, I don't know how I want these missing bits to look. At least I have this much done as reference when pondering my options. Maybe the missing inspiration will come to me as I work on my many other projects between now and when I hope to finish the Hope.
