Thought i might lose the progress on our new Space Station with the new update. Everything looks ok just the colours now are so intense some repainting is needed.
I never thought an update as simple as 'color choices' would excite me so much, but the possibility of finally restoring Angelspire to its true and proper colors... been waiting for this day since Alpha 4 dropped. Still some tweaking to be done to get that old gold color back, first attempt there is a bit muddy and blech - but hey, it's a start! So glad I kept an old screenshot or two, I'd almost forgotten what the original looked like.
Today... I did nothing. I sat around, looked at block stats, device and block ingredients, checked block and ship weights and thrust values. Tested prefabs with variable mass and made a post about it. Well, first I did a lot of measuring, but that wasn't in-game. Behold, the Rocket Chair! Built for the sole purpose of testing mass vs thrust. Without the mass blocks attached, it's hilarious to fly. With the mass blocks, it's even funnier. Like flying around on a wrecking ball Miley Cyrus-style.
After some final small Adjustments of a Project of several weeks, i'm happy to 'release' the beast called: Since i already posted several screenshots of this here, and the Forum cant handle 80 screenshots, please refer to the steam page for screenshots. (because i'm not gonna spam the forum with 8 Posts in a row full of screenshots) Thank you for your understanding.

I continue my SP arid start in 8.2.4, so can enjoy (hopefully) the Anniversary release in 5 days. Have a puzzle to take down 4 more POI's, without destroying outer turrets (want to get them as loot). My common method is to drive close up with a HV, then fastest way to the core. Maybe just dig and take out the core from below. Need roughly 300 rounds of 15 mm for a 2000 HP block, cheaper and maybe faster than 40 explosives. The Colony and Defence III & II along with Large power station covering each other. Advanced Spaceport just cracked. Next is D2, from the East, found a possible spot and route. EDIT: Now the core behind the door
Done those 5 POI's without digging, found blind spot or how to take out the cores from outside. Only lost two turrets on D3 (took out the core by shooting the door and then the core with the HV), some SI issue. All cored, looting in progress. Ground troops made it even more of a challenge, particularly those with rocket launchers.
Nice work! I've been using a fast HV to run right at the POI until I'm under the guns. Then I use the fixed Gatlings or explosives to breach the wall. Having a minigun turret to suppress the infantry is a must. The rocket troops are a PITA. If I have time I try to snipe any I can see through the scope.
Thank you. I knew about GM mode and going through stuff, but for whatever reason I never connected that with texturing and painting blocks behind devices. The paint work still is in much need, but I think the textures might be to my satisfaction. As I said, the engineering section runs the height of the vessel.
As you get multiple devices BEFORE you have the Texturing Tool I have always to use GM for getting the texture everywhere and behind Constructors and Cargo Boxes
Just for laughs I replaced all the truss blocks on a Water Skeeter with plastic blocks and removed anything that would raise the level of the build. I wanted a LVL 1 HV. It turned out surprisingly useful, I am debating on replacing the current BP with this one once 8.5 goes live.
