Ok, as previously mentioned I tried different Size Classes for a Low Level Starter Base: 10.10 was way to big while 3.3 was a not suitable for players with claustrophobic problems . The remaining Study, IRDS 5.5 was the right size in my opinion. For those who are puzzled by the name... Imperial Rapid Deployment Station Would be dropped from Imperial Capital Vessels on Planets therefore the Base has some kind of Landing Gear VIP Only the Command Module is finished to some degree, the other modules need equipment, texturing and designations of use. It has plenty of room available. Btw., the Solar Power showing what load it has 5 minutes after placing 15 Panels
I spent the weekend spawning in my bases and vehicles into a new 8.5+ game. Basically, I want the same gamestate, but new features. Had some fun with spawning. Once I had that all up on a lovely looking new temp starter planet and new seed, I completed robinson protocol. Then I did Ancient Revelations, which was awesome, and it had some pretty cool zero G combat, but that was very easy. The story was cool though.
Finished the tower today. Now named Pumping Station #22. Tomorrow i'll start on Pumping Station #11. Just putting deco inside it made it go up 2 size classes. However the class system works must be stupid.
Wow! Stunning sight! You built this in SP? If so, it must be a HOT Experience to built on the Lava Planet
Today I made a warship version of the galaxy 110 superyacht, have it grey metal plate textures, 2 artillery turrets. The ship has gens and fuel tanks in different areas so it should last a while in a ship v ship battle. The intent is to ultimately host a 1 off pvp game that sees a few of these spawned with a crew of 3 aboard each, the intent is to sink each others ship using the artillery turrets manually, should be a lot of fun. I am still without any live tests of these boats in combat though, really I could do with 3 volunteers at least, to join me in a 2 ship battle test with 2 crews of 2. If anyone is up for this i can launch a server with a suitable lake for us to play on in no time, add me on steam or something Also i made the ships with slow steering and acceleration, it should be more realistic feeling, not covering 2 miles of lake in 30 seconds, these ships will move nearly as slow as you would expect real naval ship to move but with a bit more top end of course
I actually finished my last two cheap HV yesterday, but I didn't get them posted online until today. Weka I wanted the Weka to fit in with FTB, so I gave it four cargo boxes. But to help distinguish it from the Scout Nymph, only a single gatling gun. Almost forgot the O2 tank. As I was organizing the device groups, I realized that a closed cockpit wouldn't do much good on a hostile world if there was no O2 storage. Scout Bike My standard bike has never been updated since Alpha 6. Someday I hope to add a detector to that bike, but I believe that will require a complete rebuild from scratch. Maybe when that day comes I can use this bike as a reference?
Now after playing a bit in my scenario, I required a new SV to fit those needs… I proudly present you the: Vertigo Explorer X Spoiler With extra thrust enabled, it even handles planets with 3G Spoiler Some details of the engine room and cockpit-LED's are inspired by Jennipur's work and to 'use' modular wings was Wallenstein55's idea. Thank you guys!
Are you aware that there are 'voxels' and 'veins'? The scanner only Shows 'voxels' whereas veins (as the meteorites have) are not shown.
I'd love to see the interior of this one, when done! Are you going army with this one or will it end up civil as well? Btw, nice interior job on all your boats!
I've been fixing up a couple old blueprints for Jenniphurr's challenge. The boat is new though(it's too high level for the challenge).
I agree with @Fractalite - would love to see the BP Love the industrial look of it! BTW 'Size' -Class is more like 'How Well It Runs On Your Computer'-Class. So adding tons of details & deco adds up to size class much quicker than just making a big build with normal blocks. There is a method to that madness - Size Class is based on Lights, Triangles and Devices - each adds to the size class by a certain multiplier. Lights being the biggest offender, closely followed by the Devices. So Size Class has nothing to do with the actual dimensions of the build. In any case, size class is meaningless to me - unless I need to stay below certain number for some reason...
I finally got around to trying this and ran into an issue. I flipped it on it's side, and the engines are not powerful enough to correct it. I had to remove the points from the bottom before I could right the vessel. Nice looking ship.
Been working on Pumping Station #15 today. It's nowhere near completion, but the inside of the filtration building is presentable and the geothermal turbine room (no turbine yet.. or roof) is done enough to scare little children. You must live John Connor. It's all a trick though. Standing in the "lava" is only around 630C... oh right, Lava planet. It's hot everywhere.
Niiiice ! now Siege has a boat too )) Looks like a nice lil speedboat, were you able to use the new hovers on that one ? or did you go with the regulars and thats why it was higher level? I need to figure out these new hovers to see if they can work for my boats or not, just not had the time for a few days now, the real world beast has dragged me away for routine yearly life stuff lol.
