Even if that's the case - it's not a valid topic for _this thread_. But you raise a good point - workshop is much more than up/downvotes and the first 9 builds in the front page. Build for yourself or to those who appreciate your builds, even if they are not the vocal minority.
bundled all my things into a nice little collection: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1507581524
I redesigned the thruster pods on my zeppelin, and they look much nicer now, and they have large CV thrusters in them, so I've got even better performance. Something like 80 m/s/s in full thrust up and forward, but that's switched off most of the time. I've done the engine room and I think the hanger and maufactorum, but have to fill out: 1. The forward area up to and including cockpit. 2. The greenhouse / restaurant 3. Luxury cabins. 4. Forward Lounge. 5. day rover hanger. 6. Misc space 1 7. Misc space 2.
My first usage of the new modular wing blocks. Great for making nice wings and stuff but still cannot mount a weapon under them without it floating
released a updated version of the gundam ship Baikal for mr Spicys challenge https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1502357716
My computer wouldn't boot after 4 hours of trying. As I still had a service contract, I took it to Geek Squad to see what was what. it happens that it fired right up on the bench. Since it was there, I had them do the upgrades. Maybe, if I had been able to boot the PC at home, I might've thought to back up those files. in my current state of absent-mindedness(?), I probably would have forbotten to do so.
Work In Progress: EXTERMINATE! Yep. It's a Dalek SV. There goes the neighborhood. Also working on this. It started life as a helicopter but I'm turning it into something a lot cooler.
I built a minimalist HV for a change. Not exactly the stuff I prefer to work on, but certainly give some satisfaction when start to hower. I remember how happy I was when I built one in the first time.
Decided to update the Blue Hawker a little. I did not redo the wings, though I did burrow a little piece from the new modular wings. So I added mount points underneath on the forward wings and mount points on top of the rear wings. It is kind of weird when placing because the box it occupies is on the opposite side of the wing from the visual representation of the mount point. I had the original just above the alteration so I could patch it back up identical depending on errors during "surgery". One of the things I did was move the gatling guns forward now that they retract and put a couple generators and detectors back in the space opened up inside the wing pods. The additional generators should improve the redline tolerance, one of the weaknesses of the Blue Hawker I wanted to eventually patch up. Since the wing pods were built around wings 6 blocks deep, I didn't go with the fully modular wings as I wasn't in the mood to totally rebuild the Blue Hawker. The modular wings are based around 3, 5 or 7 blocks deep, so I am glad that the mounts appear to work with the original wings. Now I am not including the rocket launchers on the Blue Hawker but this gives me some upgrade points to add weapons.... The Blue Hawker is one of my more expensive starting SV, no cobalt and any other such materials. Just iron, copper and silicon. Small adjustments to one of my favorite starting SV. Part of me was saddened when they made rocket launchers require cobalt. The Blue Hawker used to have six gatling guns and four rocket launchers in Alpha 6. Then the rocket launchers were stripped out to keep it clean of cobalt but I didn't want to just leave a gapping hole and wasn't skilled at leaving placeholders for some of these upgrades. The spaces for upgrading with mobile constructors and warp drive were easier because I just had to have open spaces with access doors. But guns can't be covered like that. But with the wing mounts.... I am happy. [Edit: Although I only updated the one pic for the cost and basic stats, the blueprint should be updated now with the improvements.]
Been busy updating 'old' HVs... The Elancia was a decent low-cost skiff, but the new hover-engines allowed me to strip it down even more. Tweaked the colors as well, to match the recently repainted Angelspire (still need to 'upload' the update on that one, but 'tis finished otherwise). Also on the list, the 'survival-version' Jaguar LSE, which needed a significant bit of adjusting after the 8.6 update. Fast, lightweight, and highly maneuverable, and it includes a fridge for those long road-trips! Also lvl 3, though a higher-end lvl 5 version with additional equipment is still in the works (constructor, more cargo space, detector, etc).
I made a neat thing: Steam link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1508454297 <- Clicky clicky!
Pumping Station #15 is complete. I have now sunk it in the lava, where it belongs. That's the new habitation module on the left, and the back of the pumping unit on the right. Here's a view from the hover platform underneath the main landing pad. It's between 520C to 730C down here, depending on the weather. The geothermal powerplant now has actual lava in the bottom instead of light tricks and dodgy texturing. Inside the habitation module. Exterior view with the landing pads.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=770029001 I've waited almost two years to make this post. All I can say is, god damn does it feel good to have the old colors back! This thing is hella sexy, and the details are top-notch. I'd love to see this place included as a (civilian) POI.
I might do that. Same for Pumping Station #22. Was thinking of turning them into hostile POIs with robots and stuff, but they'd probably be better as civilian hubs. Lava planets get no POI love. They need more dedicated stuff. EDIT: I placed a single block and structural integrity just ended. The entire building collapsed into the lava.
I am not sure if it was actual your built but I believe that a similiar Building (or the same) was not Airtight because of the use of Glas Doors on the exits/entries. Anyways its still a beautiful Building!

You can recolor it easily with replace mode. The outer white is one digit off the inner white And here's the video about how I've built the ship:
