For a long time I had time and motivation to continue building on the Insight. Luckily it was not affected by the Alpha 9.X and I could easily load the blueprint. The main hangar is finally textured and painted: The finished canteen: Next would be the cargo space, but I'm not sure how I should design with the new cargo extension. How do you design to get the maximum volume out of a box?
Tackled the underside of my Super Dreadnought (now named the FA-033 Millenium). The exterior is mostly complete, just the back end of the ship to do and add in some fiddly-bit details to break up the monotonous sections near the mid-rear. I'll also need to replace the exterior with combat steel too and slot in the rest of the thrusters into their special slots (always exterior thrusters). Here's the old CV I gave up on earlier that you can see vaguely in the background. I might come back to it at some point, Unlikely though. I have a massive graveyard of abandoned ships and bases that I gave up on.
Today, after several Days of suffering from an eye infection, I decided to stop playing EGS for the time Being. Working on a PC or mobile device as such is currently a great pain and ends after a few minutes with my eyes start to tear and burn like hell. I test some designs for the cargobox with extensions, i can use for the Insight. The one on the right has also a small construktor integratet. What do you think? Any other ideas for a compact solution?
Hmm... I wonder if that would work as a SV? *Insert Thinking Emote here* I hope ya get well soon. Suggestion: Put some Armor on the outside to protect from at least Small Arms Fire at minimum... or otherwise these Creations defeat the point of being made outta Blocks instead of simply being Devices. Oh, also, I can't help being a musclehead with stuff like this.
They are not meant to be without protection. I plan to build these into the CV. There they have enough protection and I have more than enough space.
Be advised you will need 20 peeps with ADHD working non-stop in the promethium-mines to get enough fusions to power the cargo-units. Each of those use 10PU and they can not be shut off even when not in use I am seriously considering going back to the "no weight/volume" option to even afford powering my storage without constantly have to mine promethium and suck entire oceans dry of water to fuel the storage. I reckon Empyrion is more fun as a game and not a second job which is more hard than the original one

The ship already eats enough energy, so the few containers do not make a big difference. I hope the developers adjust the consumption a bit because it is really too high. Alternatively, I would simply use an alien core.
