I’m not addicted to Empyrion! No, no, no, no. And here is what I’ve been building of late. Project LCAM01XA.
Ahh, ya aren't addicted, then submit a beautiful large building work of art as proof of this... very persuasive proof indeed of your claim!
It’s true! I’m not addicted. She's nowhere near finished yet and I wouldn't call her large! Perhaps slightly plump.
Finally the trucks have arrived to the workshop: Decided for a collection, then I only have to post one link here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1635014846
Today I stuck the Rio Grande 500 or rather my personal version of it into mothballs on HWS. She has served me well on HWS Atlantis water planet, explored all the waters, dived some underwater bases, saved me from losing everything when my CV was getting peeled by bomber drones on paragon. She was docked inside and I used her to make a quick core for my cv as it was being smashed to bits. She has taken some damage herself, survived, and gave me an amusing time once when i dragged it over land and ruptured the exposed fuel tank underneath XD lost several thrusters and fuel tanks but she was still running haha. Replaced it with a larger yacht, galaxy 110 :3 The Rio Grande is set public and free to collector now if anyone who uses HWS wants a boat to play with.
When the "adult" Kids argue about being addicted and GrandPa's like me stand by and scratch their head
Time for a new lengthy post about todays ventures The orbital base (DarkStar) is on hold due to devs investigating a bug when spawning it. Soooo.. i figured i could start with making the first of the 4 CV's i plan to make for use with that base.. and first out is the cargo-freighter. Challenge is (besides weight/volume) to make it small enough to fit within the 2 x 13x7 Hangardoors. I also wanted it to be able to pick up cargo-HV's to lift them off to the orbital base for unloading. The CV have 3 x 320k cargo. The HV's have 2 x 32k cargo.. so with 3 of them attached and filled to the brim and the 3 x 320k internal storage of the CV filled as well... i needed some serious thrust. Tested it only on a 1G planet, but i had no trouble taking off at all.. i barely noticed much difference actually. I am not yet 100% satisfied with the look (or texture/paint) so i wont upload it yet.. but this is how it looks thus far.. back-side: And belly Here is the HV's i made to go with it: One just slide the HV in under the CV: Then go sideways until one sees the marker: Then its just lifting the HV up until it docks (landingpads are on the roof of these) and exit the cockpit. After exiting the cockpit you are now standing inside a elevator that takes you into the CV (or you can slide out to the ground). With all 3 attached we are ready to lift off: Picture of arriving into orbit: And finally some stats: What you guys think about the yellow color? Part of me likes it since yellow kinda is the "industrial" color for me. But another part think its perhaps a bit hurtfull on the old eyes.. Oh well.. sorry for the lenghty post (one day i will learn how to make "spoilers") and have a nice creative day everyone
Why not make it today! When you post there is a Little plus-sign between the 'Media' icon and 'drafts' Click it! Spoiler tabs contained there. Thank you! Today I put together a CV for orbital mining.... It looks like a POS so I'm not going to post a picture! <seriously though it is kinda turd shaped>
You can place grow plots in any direction, but you can only place plants upside down in creative mode so it's really only useful for POIs.
I have been transferring my creative works from the standard creative environment over to a custom scenario. Before deleting the old creative game, I went through making sure all my saved local BP were up to date. In the process, I found that ground level had shifted on a few of my blueprints. Still having trouble focusing on a single BP. I went into creative with the intention of completing my update of a new BP to add to my workshop, and instead found myself working on one of my older BP already on the workshop. I believe the original version of this is set to private currently. It is one of my early BP so I was thinking it was overdue for an update, adding warp drive and a rebuild using my improved skills. This was not the update I had in mind, but that update was going to be way over 7500 CPU. So I revised my plan, and I think the result is actually going to be far superior than my prior vision to update the Reverence SV.
Been working on the main engineering deck on my dreadnought. Slow working when you're going for max visuals. I think i've been at this part for 2, maybe 3 days and i've finally finished it today. There is however 3 more engineering decks to do and another 8+ decks of crew housing, cargo storage, etc to go. I originally figured it would take a week to do the interior. Very much wrong. Here's the new section away from the warp core, near the stairs and elevators. Most of this section is fuel storage and engineering crew work stations. Pipes run along the walls and ceilings. Blue for coolant pipes that run to the generators. Red for steam being pumped away from the generators to the turbine and filtration systems upstairs (not completed). Because something has to fill up the inside of this ridiculously huge ship. Oh, and light gray is oxygen pipes. They go to fake ventilation ducts and the occasional real one. Those relatively new deco blocks seem to go largely unused i've noticed. When people use them they only stick them on the outsides. I've found them to be immensely useful on interiors. Light panels, pipes, exhaust ports, etc... all are more useful on the inside than they are on the outside of ships. Note: That yellow room there is a safe room in the event of a core rupture. A lever in there activates hazard lights and initiates a countdown that closes and locks all doors on this level. Once again, realism + empty space that needs filling. Though in the event of some kind of explosion in the generators that was big enough to reach here, that room wouldn't protect squat. Like everything else you can see that's not around a vital component, it's made of plastic.
Man, this loooks really impressive! If i had the money i'd hire you to make some nice looking engineering room(s) for my ship(s). I've finished the (external) rework of my Nova Starship. It is somewhat larger than the original ship and (hopefully) has now enough space for everything i want. Comparison shot: I always find it amazing to see how much of a difference slightly larger dimensions make regarding to a ships internal volume.
Holy geez! That 3/4 shot has me seriously drooling. Also straight up jealous of it beauty! Cant wait to see this one!
phew... Figured that maybe, just maybe.. before i continue on the Freighter i should try and see if it will actually fit in the cargobay its intended for.. That was as barely as barely comes.. I had to drive the CV into the Hangardoor leading into the main structure before i could set it down, behind it is spare room for maybe 4 sheets of paper or a model from Versace But i got the hangardoor closed, so i call it a win.
I may have gone a little too far with the new deco items.... I am also debating on renaming it from the Tortoise Excavator to Gamera.
Today I learned that having a height advantage means absolutely nothing due to the mobs, melee only!, running around on the ground swinging where you Would be if you were at ground level. Be nice if the Magic-Pinata party Did not work in this game. Time to go find something else to do, again, until something gets fixed.
