    I just discovered a major bug in the game.

    The "Burger and fries" shop at starter station HAS NO FRIES !!!!!

    Otherwise i got to the Derelict ship mission in my 9.5 game and once again forgot that looting pisses Polaris off :-(
    So i've spent the day pleasing them.
    So now i can trade with them again. Well except fries :)

    Well, before ELEON changed the Food and its Components there have been so-called "Space-Fries". But as so many player reported that they fight for the rights of those poor, little Potatoes.....ELEON removed them and now you get the Burger only;):D

    Also it's tested aleady (again), and it currently beats 5G fully loaded!
    But since it shall be MP capable - long standby times - that value will drop due to amounts of T3 tanks I'll need to add.
    It has 238hrs standby already though :p

    Question is, for how much shall I aim - in MP regards?
    I tend towards 350hrs -> that's 2 weeks (and 1 day spare) on a 'living' playfield (Players) - 24hrs a day.

    Kind of stuck for inspiration on the passenger plane so I worked on my updated monorail car this evening. Heavily inspired by CrazyZ's Omicron Express but different enough to be its own thing.

    Tried adding bamboo forests to my jungle planet, but the bamboo trees have bugged LOD and don't render properly. Bug report filed. :(

    Have you had much luck getting things to stay on rails? I experimented with a Monorail and well as in-base elevators in the past and all that happened was clipping issues and the SV/HV (SV Elevator, HV Monorail car) flying off into the air or getting stuck beyond recovery. That said, I've not experimented with such things for quite a while now.

    Seems to work ok, more or less. I'm using an SV monorail/car in an enclosed tube on a space station. The track has a rail running down the middle to guide the car. The car itself simply sits on top of it. CrazyZ's Omicron Express uses a similar setup.

    The trick seems to be to keep the interaction between the vehicle and the track to a minimum. Keep it simple to work within the limitations of the game. I put mine in a tunnel but it's still only resting on the guide rail. The tolerances between tunnel, rail, and car allow movement. You don't want very fine tolerances because it will snag and get caught. The other thing is you don't want more than one part interacting with the base. You want a single guide rail. Two just makes more places for it to snag on.

    There was a monorail someone built where the cars hung from the track like a cable car. I didn't think it worked very well because the tolerances between the track's guide shaft and the bit from the car were too fine and there was more than one point of failure. I don't see how a cable car could be made to work within the game honestly.

    An elevator could probably be made to work using an SV as long as the elevator is not flush with the elevator shaft.

    Been a while since I have posted about the CS ARCADIAN, so I thought I'd post a couple pics...

    Project is not dead, just keeps evolving,... and expanding.

    Currently features:
    • 10 large cargo bays with individually-controlled doors, ramps, and spot lights.
    • 3 top-side SV docking bays with motion-sensor-controlled bay doors.
    • Large farm area.
    • Storage and constructor area.
    • Bridge.
    • A lot of unfished space,...
    Still need to finish the rest of the interior,....

    Someday I'll finish it and get it posted to the workshop....

    Lately, I have mostly been working on other projects like the RS TALON (updated auto-miner maintenance vessel) .... and the MKII of my SV906. Both in the group shot below (RS YUKON is parked behind the RS TALON).

    Started a new game, as always on the Arid Planet, in EXP-Branch. Armor Color finally works again and I don't have to wear "Night-Watch"-Colors in the Deep Desert;).
    Settled in close to a wreckage.

    I tested the solar system generation of my scenario today, making a few small changes and adding in the new planets and moons.

    I teleported around and took some preview pics and made a sneak peak of the next update to my scenario. :D
