I was going over some old blueprints today and many would not keep the O2 switch turned on. I went bonkers looking for leaks for hours, then I mounted an extra O2 tank for giggles. The extra O2 tank worked. As I was experimenting I found out that many of my HV's and SV's no longer had enough O2 in the tanks to pressurize the cabin. Did the devs change how much O2 is needed to pressurize a vehicle? (and I missed the memo)
In SP i got to level 25 - I started shooting at the drone base. Might give an update in a few days, if anything happens before i run out of ammo ...
So technically I did this last weekend, just getting around to posting about it now. Went exploring with my brother. Did some promethium mining on a moon: Found an Ice Giant: Watched my brother hack into a data cache: Had some fun at the Syndicate Casino, before robbing it. Then came back home to our beautiful ice base:
For my scenario I've been making a custom PDA for info on the scenario. When I release the update it will be integrated with the default PDA so you'll still have all the default missions and such. I also want to include custom missions but will probably wait on that for now. Been a bit hard to even have motivation to play any games at the moment, never mind being creative while I'm still recovering from my surgery, but I'm getting better it'll just take time. So I've mostly been doing tweaks and fixes to the scenario.
Uploaded my discontinued Faction HQ (10 players): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1891493152 We've had some troubles in the faction, but since the base is almost done, I think it would be a waste to let it vanish... (edit: Ignore the robbery you're seeing, usualy they are friendly ) Spoiler: Images
Today I noticed this: Yikes! All single player or co-op, because I can't get reliable time to just sit down and play, which would make me useless in MP... Probably a few hundred of those hours are game paused while I have to go do something else (curse you, RL!). I probably would have stopped, or at least slowed down, ages ago if it wasn't for @ravien_ff 's fabulous work on the Eden scenario. So thank you to you and best wishes for recoveries from the surgery you mentioned.
Seems that you suffering from an advanced version of the so-called "@spanj-syndrome". You forgot to save a BP of yourself. If not your Clones would have had the time to proceed with your super fine piece of work Project EDEN while you are recovering. All the Best!.
It has been a long time since I worked on these old flying hockey pucks. They have been upgraded with all the new devices, thrusters have been adjusted, cargo boxes have been upgraded and O2 tanks tweaked. Believe it or not, I still use them when playing a single player game. Base units are on the right, upgraded units are on the left. HV's, then SV's and then warp-capable SV's.
Made a 4-part mission for my scenario that sends you to explore the solar system by landing on a planet of each type, with each section rewarding xp, money, and pentaxid, and the final part rewarding a suit of epic armor. I still need to test it to make sure it works. Also made a repeatable mission (3 hour delay) to kill 100 Zirax. Using this awesome new tool to make it: https://empyriononline.com/threads/tool-ewpda-empyrion-web-pda-v1-0-5.82979/
Did stuff. Finished the Mk2 Creative Library POI for creative starts with all the tutorial info and stuff. It's less performance-intensive and confusing than the Mk1. Finished another Polaris Snow POI (Shuttle Terminal) Half-made another Polaris Snow POI (Transport Hub) I'll be onto desert themed POIs soon, but I think i'll tackle Xenu moonbases first, because there's one that's OP af.
Worked some more on a custom PDA and tested merging it with the default PDA: Added a FAQ section for scenario specific information. I don't think the people who need to read it will though. Multi-part mission to visit most planet types in the solar system, progressing through Temperate planets, Desert planets, Snow planets, and finally Exotic planets with the end reward being a suit of epic armor. Added a repeatable mission to kill 100 Zirax: And added a planet specific mission to destroy 3 Smuggler Hideouts. The mission only shows up in the PDA while you are on the Rocky Desert or Stormy Desert planets: Also saw a beautiful view! Working with the PDA is made MUCH easier with the use of the new eWPDA Empyrion Web PDA tool! While the tool is still a work in progress (just like everything with Empyrion), using it so far I've run into very few issues. I can copy the resulting files and paste them onto the end of the default PDA files to include in my scenario, making it very easy to keep the scenario's PDA updated to match the default one whenever it gets an update. I've been wanting to include a custom PDA for quite awhile but the time involved with manual editing made it a low priority for me. With this tool I can start adding simple PDA stuff while I keep working on the scenario. Eventually I do want to tie the PDA in with the main stories of the scenario, but that will probably wait until sometime after alpha 11. For now I'm going to keep playing around with adding a few simple missions and such to learn the PDA better. I'm planning to include this with the alpha 10.6 update once it goes live. I want to thank @RexXxuS and everyone else involved for the hard work on creating this tool and making it public.
I haven't done anything lately. jrandall and Vermillion have been killin' it with the stuff they make so mine seems superfluous. Plus Eleon keeps introducing game changing new mechanics and that really puts a damper on my motivation if the stuff I'm building is going to be obsolete before it's even finished.
I decided to finally post the HV I used in the failed HV-dropping CV experiment. It's docking pads are on the back so you dock it by backing it into a wall. The reason there are no docking pads on the bottom is so that you can leave it sitting on your BA and the weapons will not deactivate. It is intended to be a turret replacement for when you land on a planet and need to get the defenses up in a hurry. Just ring your CV with a few of these, then throw the switch in the control panel to turn the engines off (saving fuel). HV Point Defense Pod
For the same Reason- CPU - I stopped working on the (CV)-Hercules. It is de-motivating and I can't go on with with it. And no, its not @jrandall or @Vermillion or somebody else's fault.
I wasn't implying my lack of motivation is anyone's fault. I greatly admire their work. I just wish I could live up to it but I seem to have hit a peak in my creativity and ability.
