Sorry I missed this. This is still an issue in both radiation and polar fog for all types of windows including cockpits of vehicles. Attached screen grabs show windows which go from transparent to gloss black as you pull back from them and stay gloss black until they wink out; this distance based rendering hint seems to be applied after the fog blur.
