CV's used to trigger motion sensors on your base, so for example you could add sensor triggered landing lights.

That doesn't seem to happen any more. If you exit the cockpit, MS's are triggered, but flying the vessel doesn't trigger them.

Is that intentional or a bug? Or is it just me?!

    Did it ever?
I tried making a warp gate API mod awhile back, I never released it because it only worked for HV and SV.

How it worked for the mod:
Player flies into motion sensor field, triggers sensor.
Sensor triggers explosive block that takes out the core (might be possible to use turn core off now).
    Core removal triggers API mod.
API mod retrieves entity list, finds player in motion sensor field and teleports them and the ship they are piloting to destination playfields and coordinates then resets the warp gate POI.

Every piece of that works for sv and hv.

This is known CV's currently will not trigger sensors or hangar doors.

Yes - I had a spherical CV once that was a pain to park on a small base pad, so I set up sensors to tell me when I was in the exact spot to land.

Thanks - good to know. So that's deliberate, or will it be reinstated?

I have a small CV that I dock inside a larger CV. I have a sensor that opens the bay doors which works fine as long as I am in a SV, but if I try to enter in my small CV it does not work. I have to jump out of my seat wait till doors open all the way then quickly jump in seat and enter craft before the doors can close again. So if I am standing in the small CV but not seated the sensor sees me, but as soon as I sit down the sensor loses me and doors start closing. I have the sensor field as large as it goes and it completely surrounds the small CV so it is not the area that is the problem.

The issue with CV's not being detected by sensors or hangar doors automatically opening for CV's is known to us.

    MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: No

    Reproducibility: Always
    Severity: Minor

    Type: Sensors

Summary: Motion sensor does not respond to player in a CV control seat located within the sensor field on the CV.

Description: Created a sensor field, standing in sensor field - sensor works as expected. Sit in control seat (noticed on a CV) and you are no longer in the sensor field. You should be as the seat is in the sensor field. In this case I was hoping to use a mining control bridge on a CV to automatically activate the laser drills by means of a sensor. The activation works when I stand near the control seat, but drills deactivate when I sit in it.

    Steps to Reproduce:
    Create CV
    Add control seat
Add sensor (and have it trigger something via follow - a light for eg)
Set sensor field to include control seat
Stand near control seat - verify sensor senses you - light is on for eg
Sit in control seat - see that sensor no longer senses you - light off for eg.

Just bumping this thread, because this works for SV and HV cockpits.
