First off: congratulations and thank you for keeping developing my favorite game. Visited all three deco planets, and I liked what I saw. My suggestions would be these: 1. adapt scale. Dandelions taller than a man, palm trees 90 meters tall, that not only makes the ships look tiny, it's just irritating 2. while the increased sharpness works quite well planetside, it doesn't in space. Planetary atmospheres distort and blur. The blurring effect can even be seen from airplanes travelling at altitude. In combination with the distinct atmosphere geometry and high mountains (using Grand Designer?) the sharpness kills a lot of immersion. Not specific to the 1.7 but will you fix the SV armor locker rendering? Not sure if it's only texture or the armor locker not getting included in the shadow pass, but it "shines" all the time. So, there are these "Portal" objects that have been around for an extremely long time, which, as I recall, can be used as an extreme long-range teleporter between planets. I suspect it might not be terribly difficult to generate a POI specifically for reaching these types of Testing planets. Any thoughts on putting one or two of these together to make it easier and quicker to engage in testing this sort of thing? I highly suspect we're only seeing the start of such "Testing" worlds.
Okay, I'm confused. @Hummel-o-War in the opening post you said to "Teleport to the sun." and it doesn't seem doable ... are you assuming we have access to a dev feature you guys haven't generally exposed or is there a flag or something to enable that we never picked up on? Being able to do quick jumps like you're describing would really help with game master tasks- needing to SBP a ship and IM the stuff you need fuel it to then warp your way across uncharted space (and therefore chart it even if you hadn't wanted to) isn't an aspect of the game I have ever enjoyed.
Use 'sector' to teleport to a sun so it should like this for you with the name you have shown in the screenshot: sector Incuttugora

Hi @Kassonnade .. thanks, bookmarked. I have no idea how I've missed that one on the many (!) times I've read through the 'h' flash help. In some cases, I've spent quite a while trying to determine if some of them actually do anything.
Sounds to me like Portals need some work done to make them more viable. I do recall, a long while back, fiddling a bit with them and them being a bit of a complex challenge to get working... but they look so cool!
Hi all. I'm trying to do the Murky Christmas quest but can't find the system. I've opened the galaxy map (M), used the ‘Search system’ button and typed in “ContAr1a95” to the TYPE field - but there are no results. I've got a new save, single player, default survival - is this quest no longer available? Thank you
Hey the new Deco Planets looks amazing. Great Job. Here my feedback / feeling about Middle and End Game Content. It feels at the moment a little bit empty on Planets, because there is only one Faction present per Planet, depending in which region u search. 1. Why not several factions per planet ? It s okay if there some planets with only one faction ,but in the common case there should be at least 3 Factions, so that the player is more encouraged to interact with them and chosing a side. Its the best feature of the starter planet that there are several factions. 2. The 3D Galaxy Map is not ideal to navigate, it would be easier if she gets a distinct shape, flater in y-axis. So it can still be very big or even unlimited. but maybe like in real with some cluster made of systems that are connected with some outstanding systems that has to be used to reach them. 3. The Faction spheres are to big and dont overlap would look nicer with transparent smaller cubes. and also more mixed up. These 3 ideas i wanted to post here for long. I think many playstyles would benefit from it. And im a huge empyrion fan. have over 779,2 h playtime on still counting up.
