So, the last time I posted about my SV, I said I needed to test it in battle. Well, I finally got around to doing that, taking out the drones, the satellites and the space station defenses. While it took a beating, I lived, which was a huge a improvement of the booty-kicking I was handed on Aestus. The changes I made included using a ton of cargo boxes as armor and moving my core. The cargo boxes do draw power at 1 kw, but weigh in at 49kg, versus the 120kg for a hull box, and have 30 armor and 50 hit points versus the 20/25 for hull boxes. So I have used them to protect the leading sides of my fuel tanks and directional thrusters, and to encase my core/generator and to protect my RCS's. To reduce the weight as much as I could, I made extensive use of the truss block. Stats on my SV are: Max output: 3.6 MW (3 generators) Consumption: 363 kw Wt: 9.9 tons The consumption rating is kind of frightening, it's more than my base is using. So, I am trying to figure out how to pare that down and yet maintain the crunchy shell I've constructed. Anyway, below are some "how it's made" shots to illustrate my approach. Enjoy! The F-76d Buzzard: Crew: Pilot - 1 Max. Output: 1.20 MW Fuel Capacity: 400 Units Mass: 10.2 t Variant(s): I. X-76 II. X-76a Buzzard III. X-76b Buzzard (stub-wing) IV. F-76c Buzzard (armed - Gatling) V. F-76d Buzzard (armed - Gatling/Rocket) Considered the first successful entry into the Fighter/Interceptor class, the F-76d Buzzard is the result of continued testing and development with no lack of lessons learned the hard way. Shortly after the failure of the X-61 platform, the focus quickly shifted from maximum acceleration and agility to a much greater emphasis on survival rate and combat effectiveness. The Buzzard was designed to not only incorporate both of these traits, but to create an airframe that causes each trait to compliment the other. The overall shape of the vessel is the first and most visible feature intended to increase ship and pilot survivablility. The broad, flat hull design helps to minimize the potential target area as viewed from the front or rear making it more difficult for incoming rounds to connect. The hull's flat profile not only makes for a slim figure, its broad span was also intended to provide a large area of coverage for the thrusters helping keep the craft mobile and therefore prolonging combat effectiveness. Although experimental versions were fitted with 8 main thrusters to test the craft's limits, production models were equipped with half that to improve the still-mediocre fuel economy. The least slim portion of the ship is the fuselage which houses all major systems including the power supply, control, and stability systems with the cockpit positioned in front shaping the nose. Utmost care was taken to reinforce and protect all major systems by tucking them all in the center of a solid casing behind the hardened cockpit using weight-saving materials only at the inner-most layers so as not to compromise safety. Although it is equipped with an Oxygen Station and Refrigerator, these are more likely to be used in emergency situations as the ships burn rate is likely to run the dual fuel tanks dry before needing to refill your O2 or your gut. The earlier experimental versions had a much wider wingspan due to the elongated wing tips, but these would prove to cause too much drag in denser atmospheres and greatly reduced maneuverability. The wings were "trimmed" which improved handling to the point where the craft "sufficiently met desired criteria" and was considered ready for production. The first production fighter F-76c was equipped with 4x Gatling Guns, while the later F-76d saw the addition of 2x Rocket Launchers as well as a fifth Gatling Gun housed within the fuselage. This was intended to help keep at least one last weapon protected and online to aid self-defense and, if needed, retreat. Most early pilots were less-than-eager to fly the Buzzard due to its label of only being "sufficient..." enough to be certified for flight status. Contrary to expectations, the addition of the fifth gun didn't help matters. Training manuals described it as an added layer of protection, but trainees interpreted this as a sign of what to expect during service and quickly started referring to it as the "last hope." Although initially not well-received, it didn't take long for operators with even minimal combat experience to appreciate the craft for its ability to return countless pilots unharmed. Thanks Shaila! You ship look's great! The only difference between the two is scale like you mentioned. I've made the constutition class for another game called Shores Of Hazeron. First one I made was not true to scale. It was about 1:10 scale. Once I increased it...it all worked out Look forward to you're updates. Love the engines btw!
BLUEPRINT AVAILABLE The T-23b Wallaby Crew: Pilot - 2 Flight Engineer - 1 Loadmaster - 1 Max. Output: 5.40 MW Fuel Capacity: 1200 Units Mass: 20.7 t Variant(s): I. T-23 II. T-23a (armed - Rail Gun, upgraded reverse thruster, upgraded landing gear) III. T-23b (armed - Rail Gun/Pulse Laser, added dorsal sensor array) Named for its ability to easily ferry passengers and quickly “hop” from location to location, the T-23 Wallaby is a medium sized transport/dropship capable of shuttling 20 passengers plus up to 4 crew members. The hull is largely utilitarian and focusses more on function over form. Don’t be fooled, however. Although the Wallaby may not have the most “sporty” figure, it handles reasonably well considering its dimensions. This vessel’s design concept: simplicity. Not just simplicity in visual design (although it was a result), but simplicity in function and operation for crew and commuters alike. This decision was influenced by the drive to promote passenger safety and mobility in and around the vessel, primarily during rapid deployment and recovery of soldiers during combat scenarios or otherwise hostile situations. The relatively boxy and simple shape allows for streamlined corridors and doorways reducing the likelihood of passengers bottlenecking at restricted passages or tripping over corners and each other. This aids the ship’s ability to quickly touch down, deploy passengers and payload, and swiftly exit the area. The T-23b is not well suited as an attack ship so it is recommended that an armed escort remain nearby, but it is equipped with four Rail Guns to soften hull armor for ship-boarding missions as well as two Pulse Lasers for minimal self-defense and suppressing LZ’s prior to touchdown. The ship is fitted with an oxygen station and minimal refrigeration space making it capable of “topping off” stores of critical items like food and oxygen immediately prior to passenger deployment. In dire situations (i.e. when stranded) the onboard constructor can be utilized to fabricate replacement panels or minor components for repairs as well as forge additional ammunition if resources allow.

Hi guys, my newest prototype, an alien stealth fighter, comes with encased propulsion, sheltered cockpit and weapons system and floodlighting that can easily change the look of the vessel, just by changing the color of the lights. I call it Banshee cause it's just fitting... Hope you like it.
