Hi there, I am not sure if anyone has ever attempted to build a full scale functional city in EGS so I thought I would give it a go. I'm going to explore the EGS building mechanics and will try and come up with workarounds to any problems or issues I may face whilst aiming to reach my goal of building the city/metropolis of Antish Prime on Akua. It'll be fun pushing the limits of the building mechanics (and my computer) with a large scale city build. This thread will include YouTube videos of each phase of Project Antish Prime. Hope you enjoy. Ant. NEW EPISODE: (01/08/2018) ANTISH PRIME V2.0 [Alpha 8] PHASE:2 Videos included in this thread: ANTISH PRIME V2.0 (Alpha 8): P1, P2 SERIES 1: P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7
I've been lurking some of them for a bit.. It's a neat showcase of what you can do with Empyrion, with a bit of patience (Also some rather nice buildings you've gone and produced) I couldn't help but notice the last part of the video was you struggling with getting the 'new base' aligned to the 'old'.. I'm not sure, but perhabs this mod can help you out? https://empyriononline.com/threads/mod-empyrionbasealign.38620/ If it doesn't do the trick, let me know.. There certainly *should* be an easier way of accomplishing what you were doing atleast
This is great work. I’m building a city of sorts myself and this inspired me and gave me a few ideas. My bridge has given me the biggest headache so far. After several attempts to line it up perfectly for a smooth HV drive while getting it to curve, it still has parts I couldn’t get perfect even with setposition. 10/10 on creativity & attention to detail with this project.
Thanks Javarox87. You are too kind. Yeah, aligning 2 bases together is a pain. Sometimes it works, sometimes it requires covering up misalignment with some more blocks ha! Using colours to help me align blocks is the easiest way for me that I have found but each to their own. I'm sure there are a bunch of ways to achieve the same result. Cool! City building is a blast. Have fun bud and thanks for the ACE comment.
