So, I took over Derelect Ship in the starter planet orbit and for a change, decided my character would follow the advice of the PDA and take it over. So I did, which by the way, is in fact more work than salvaging it and making a new base from zero. But, playing along, right? Now, after I'm all done, the POI still has the creeepy alien soundtrack. If I bought a house, and it had that vibe, I'd not be staying. Saw too many Steven King movies - I know what comes next. No matter how hard I scrub the place, theres' still alien cooties in hidden places and a pack of Nightmares will come out and .... So. I do think this is a bug. If I core a POI, the soundtrack for ambient music should change to match the faction of the core. But, low priority right? Anyone got advice how I hack this in console in the meanwhile? I mean, it harshes my mellow, and interfers with my roleplaying. I can't really think of the place as home.
You cannot, afaik, change the soundtrack of a POI, once it have been created in the world. I do agree, that it would be a nice feature to have, where some tracks are "marked for an origin, such as human", and these gets picked for the POI, once out of alien control. (Or if another faction takes control somehow.. ) But afaik, no console commands, nor through the modding API can do this unfortuneatly.
Yeah that'd be nice. However sbout 600hrs in, the endless loop soundtrack becomes hard to listen to anyways so I just play my own music now.
Thanks folks, for the answer. I'd put a few claps on the enhancement request if it ever gets on the list.
I think it would be really cool if you could add a device like a space-radio to your poi and then choose the song that is played in the whole POI/Your own Base. Maybe it would be possible then to create playlists and add your own songs, too.
+1 and up! specially the "device like a space-radio to your poi and then choose the song that is played in the whole POI/Your own Base" !
