Yes they may overlap. However, without doing an 'extra' 2xOR for every occourence, only 1 of the 2 sensors might trigger. (at least that has been my experience back when I tested that in A8).
Finished the FA-038 Horizon today. Recolored it in UCH colors and tags as well. Forge colors. UCH colors: UCH-038 Gladius Underside. Maybe you'll be able to find these in space and salvage/repair them at some point.
They still are quite bulky and you can only place one at each block but the advantage of projectors is that they can be hidden away Here's a small test I did some time ago, it's intended to resemble some sort of AI mainframe but you can apply the same idea for very different stuff, not sure you guys seen the mov Blade Runner 249 and still remember the giant holographic commercials?!?.... We're still far away from it but closer, anyway here's the bp, just spawn it and go in, it stops the animation when you're in the room And they also work in HVs and SVs
@Kassonnade Somebody on the Steam forums was asking about this the other day, and I came up with a solution, or at least a sensor-based workaround that does seem to work. Your use case may be a bit different though. Basically I employed a light barrier sensor to register an SV as it entered my CV hangar, and a second light barrier sensor to register the SV at its docking location. The sensor outputs are sent into a Set/Reset latch circuit. The output of the latch circuit is the true/false signal for the hangar's occupied/unoccupied state. Where multiple sensors are needed, such as for multiple entry/exit paths to and from a hangar, the sensors which monitor the entries/exits can be combined using an "OR" circuit. In this case the entry/exit sensors should supply the "Reset" signal in the S/R latch, and the docking location sensor is the "Set" signal. I can give it a shot! Will need a bit of time tho as i am going put of town the next few days. Ill see what i can draw up. Any guidelines i need to adhere too?
HMMMMMMM.... guidelines... Level 1 - 3 Can only use "Ground Repulser Engines" (the green ones) Must only have 1 fuel tank and 1 p-gen must have 1 cargo container Has to have 8m/s^2 in all the thrust directions Can only utilize carbon blocks. Cannot use "open cockpits" only closed. We can discuss the rest on steam though.
With all the new POIs added I was thinking there might be times when I'd like to be able to personally yell at, err, thank, yes, thank the appropriate designer for a given new POI I was about to just ask here, "where's the list of who made what?", then realized that Eleon may be discouraging that kind of thing, or the builders themselves may have individual preferences; who knows. So if it's not terribly impolite of me, is there a thread or post or something where we can see who did which?
Builders will not take complaints or returns.... wait err, no, here, there's already a thread for that, just point out your grievances.... Alpha 10.5 - Major POI Update But sorry, no list....
In creative you can check about each bp's author. You just need to make the right selection in the bp menu (f2). Hth
I'm so glad the devs added the larger shutter doors . Once you pair those up with the sensors you can finally create a hangar door that kind of matches your ship. Hopefully we get the ability to texture the hangar doors next so we can match the door texture with the block texture.
Thank you both @Kaeser , @Sephrajin . Definately makes sense to have a bit of a railing in between them and the masses.
@StyleBBQ If you core a POI in survival or spawn it in creative (F2) go into the POI's P-menu on the statistics page in the bottom left corner will be the creator's name. This feature is on all ships and builds, including ones off the steam workshop to prevent theft and to identify build creators. It's also good for punishing douchecanoes who try to sell their ships and POIs for money against Eleon's ToS. There was a guy (idiot) a couple of months ago who tried to sell horrendously bad POIs here on the official forum in front of the eleon staff. --------------------------------------------- Now on to something completely different... Today I made another SV. The FA-039A Rapier and a UCH version: UCH-039 Rapier. They have a shared name this time since technically it was designed as a Terran attack ship, built to fit inside the M.S. Titan's Hangar. But I always make doubles of my UCH ships in Forge colors so I can pad my resume. Though the spot of "FA-042" is reserved for a special ship. The Rapier is fairly weak. It's cheap, not warp capable and has no shield. But it looks cool, is fast and handles well so idgaf. The UCH version gets a specialized gun, so it's got that going for it. Rapier and Gladius: Red vs Blue Forge Variant (No turret) Custom HUD. LCD Projectors are awesome.
They used to list all the builders that were involved or the BP's that were used off the workshop. Not sure why they changed that. I think the closest thing to what you are looking for is this thread: https://empyriononline.com/threads/alpha-10-5-exp-new-poi-additions-and-updates.69769/ if you have any questions post them there and I will try to provide references.
Thanks @Vermillion , that's good to know! And really?? Wow. how's it go? "You cain't fix stupid..." -- lovin those SVs btw! -- Appreciate it @Fractalite , and if I do find any issues (doubtful!) I'll be sure to post them; and attempt to keep the gushing down, heh -- btw, why do you want Jen to redo my HV?? It's fine! (ain't it?) <jking!>
Fractalite's in the 'pretty over practical' camp. Though to be fair I myself still haven't figured out how to Micro Build worth beans... so not like i'm qualified to speak on such matters.
The Devs DID mention who have been the builders/updaters in A10.5: > An enormous "Thank you" to: Vermillion, Fractalite, ravien_ff, Dinkelsen, Frigidman, Needleship & Ramachandra
