I didn't do anything on Empyrion today, however I gifted 3 copies of the game to random people on my friends list bc the game is so damn cheap right now! $7.99? Really, Eleon!!!! That's a bargain that so many people don't realize they are missing out on. I also gifted a copy from Green Man Gaming to Worth-A-Buy on YouTube, so hopefully he'll review it for A12.

Had great fun watching the plasma drone that showed up shooting the Aliens (at the unknown helix) instead of me on the snow starter. I let him have a good crack at 'em then like the spearman under the bridge at the battle of Stamford Bridge I stabbed him in the goolies (metaphorically speaking). I should have take taken a screenshot. My favourite game just gets better and better.
I have a suspicion that might have been a bug as I'm pretty sure they don't want that happening yet (or ever?) - a good bug though
I put down an SV starter block and then copied and pasted the Saturn CV onto it, removed all the unconvertable CV blocks and blockreplaced everything that was convertible (armor and thrusters basically), so Im left with mostly duplicate shell (apart from some wall blocks that have no small block equivalent). No idea what I was doing, but a kind of see where it leads thing So, some fiddling later and I end up with this: Yes - turrets - 8 of them (Will need a suitable mod if you stick turrets on it, but Ill leave that in as an upgrade option). So now the Saturn is getting a little companion I'm not sure yet what spec Ill aim for, currently it is 12 weapon mounts, 8 locations for retractable turrets, 2 x 32k cargo (just for testing really - it can lift that lot full of sathium ore) and massive internal crew space (its a shame SVs cant have a hangar door, though hold that thought ). Basically its looking like a heavy POI buster and looter SV, but obviously that put it all firmly into T4 and I would like to get it into T3 just to make it buildable and usable earlier. Anyway - its still a bit of a curiosity at the moment, but the process maybe interesting to see if some other CVs hulls will down convert into anything useful - I tried it with my mantis CV and that could make a nice huge SV as well One thing I did notice - the SV thrusters are relatively MUCH less powerful than the CV thruster relative to the mass of the armor blocks. What I mean it the empty SV shell needed way more SV M thrusters than the fully equipped CV with its CV M thrusters. I'm not sure why, but I kind of expected that if there was a difference it may be the other way around, but people have said for a long time that CV thrusters are overpowered.
Tried mining in space in co-op for the first time, my GF was playing with me. She did not have her jump jets turned on and when she went outside and I (slightly) moved the SV she was like GONE. Sooooo I had to rescue her and that was kinda fun. Question can we add a waypoint to a player so they show up on the HUD like we can do for POI's and Ore deposits? (would have made it easier to find her lol)
I was playing on a server the other day, spawned in an SV, got in and it said 'some thrusters disabled because they are blocked'. I was playing on a 2nd server and did not get this error for the same ship. Is this probably a custom server mod or has Eleon added an option to require exposed thrusters? If so, when did this happen?
