Not sure if this is a game bug or a PC centric issue, but so far I think it is game issue. It only started after the last update I have been getting bad stuttering/lag. Start PC ,start game, works ok until after a few min's, it then starts constantly lagging/stuttering. even standing still you can still hear the sound stutter and any movement of the trees is affected. If the game is restarted it still has the same problem, even in the main menu it can just be detected when you move the mouse over the icons. I tried altering the video settings but no change. Restart PC and everything is fine, until it starts to happen again, the game becomes unplayable unless your a masochist All my other games seem to run OK. Its a AMD 3900x, with 32 Gb and an nvme main drive, with all games on an SSD and an NVidia RTX 2070 What information could I provide that would be helpful in figuring this out
I have been noticing sporadic input lag when opening menus (inventory, CP, etc) after a long play session. No stuttering though. Restarting the game clears it up. You shouldn't have to restart your PC though.
I reinstalled windows, something was not right, couldn't quite put my finger on it, went to uninstall a realtec driver and I could not, would hang and fail every time, even after a restart, and some other stuff, so sod that for a game of tiddlywinks, a new install it is Seemed to be working OK after the install, until it happened again, but this time it also happened with CSGO, so must be some other issue and not the game hope its not the new motherboard My PC hates me, at the moment the feeling is mutual
It's not really possible to say what the cause is perhaps have a look at the trouble shooting guide here & go through each 1 https://empyriononline.com/threads/...own-issues-troubleshooting.47082/#post-296904 Scroll down to this part here: https://empyriononline.com/threads/...own-issues-troubleshooting.47082/#post-386057 & run the RAM test the video just below the text I quoted in the spoiler shows how to setup & run the test I would suggest doing this to rule out possible faulty RAM. Last year I had 1 stick that had multiple errors on it that was causing one of my PC's weird stability issues new RAM & a BIOS update got rid of the issue on the PC it was happening on. & lately some users have mentioned refreshing their windows 10 installation has help resolve some of the weird issues they were having. Some info for refreshing your windows 10 installation is just above the RAM info I quoted look for: Refresh your PC ==== Do you have anyway to record this issue when it happens then upload it to youtube & link to it here so it can be seen exactly what is happening ?
Just an update, finally seemed to have fixed it, reinstalled the motherboards chipset drivers and reinstalled windows again, now no issues for a week so something worked
