I have additional information about this bug or a different but similar bug. All is right, I have a CV with several SVs / HVs docked. I go out from the CV with a miner SV to mine for resources. At my return, when approaching the big CV I only see the SVs / HVs inside, but the structure of the CV containing these is not visible (it is as if the CV is invisible, but I bet that the CV in reality is not there). I approach more, near the "invisible" CV and visible docked ships; suddenly the CV is visible, so, the docked ship were visible at N distance, and at N-x distance the CV containing these appears. Then I go inside and it is the inverse, all these SVs / HVs that were visible trough the invisible CV, when I was away, are not there. When I say that the SVs / HVs are not there it is literal, these are not visible, but there is no collision neither, so these are truly not there. Upon saving the game and reloading, all goes back to normal again. So, in a nutshell, I think that the problem lies with the relationship between container and contents, and the instantiation of the ships. Far away contents are instantiated, after going near the container, this is instantiated, but without the contents (docked ships). It is like this. 1.- CV is far away, but it is not being instantiated 2.- The docked ships in the CV are instantiated, I do not why because if the container is outside the instantiation limits (visibility limits) the contents are in this situation too. 3.- You get nearest the not instantiated CV, the CV is instantiated, but the docked ships are removed (initialized ?) 4.- When you enter the CV, the game thinks that the docked ships were and stay instantiated, but it is not true, because were removed when the container was instantiated, so these are not created inside the CV. These are not visible, because are not there. If you save the game and reload, all is reset, instantiated and all is there again. I do not know if this really happening is that when the ships seems not being instantiated, in reality are in another place, I do not know how to check this, maybe through console commands? I hope have explained this well. I would try to provide the save game if needed.
Can you send me a save game setup before this triggers & tell me step by step exactly what to do in your save to trigger the issue either "Always" or "Sometimes" please ? Thanks
Of course, but I do not have access to my computer now, I will try provide to you this save tomorrow. About the steps to reproduce it: Take into account that loading a save, fixes the situation, so I cannot provide to you a save with the exact point just prior happening. Sorry but you will have to do exactly the same that I do in the game to check it, that it is just go mining an asteroid at the planet surface, and return to the CV. And may be the expression "always happens" is something exaggerated, but my impression is that it happens between the 75%~80% of the time, that it is high enough to trigger this relatively easy. Thank you.
Hello, Here is a shared .zip file with all relevant information: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12REZg9hSPAuQkVpuKO4ElGn48Z1pf165/view?usp=sharing Well, the game has been updated since the first instance of this bug was happening, so it is something different now. Now, after loading the save game after the bug, the docked ships appear in a diferent position, instead docked where they were, inside the CV. To fix this problem of the docked ships being spawned in a wrong position I had to go to a different planet. This would be due to the change of game version and using the savegame of a previous version. Anyway I think there is relevant information about the spawn order, and probably why the docked ships disapear. I have included in the .zip savegames, screen captures and a readme.txt file, It took me many time all these test, I hope will be helpful. To reproduce: Only this that is described in the readme, I get one of the ships, it is irrelevant which; and go arround, in specific to the coordinates captured in one of the screen shoots, then I return to the CV, please read the readme file. Thanks a lot and merry Christmas
Hello, I had two SVs docked in my CV and both are now gone when I entered the game today. There's been times when we played in this same game where one of my friends could see the SVs and I couldn't or vise vera. Only when whoever can see the ship gets in and flies with it for a little while, then the other player can see it again. Now we all cannot see the ships we left docked in the CV. I just hope I didn't loose them. Any help is appreciated, if anything is needed please let me know. Cheers!
Hi can you please us the report template & try to explain to us how we can reproduce this issue step by step starting by loading into your save game ? https://empyriononline.com/threads/...uirements-known-issues-troubleshooting.47082/ How to supply a save game instructions are just below the blank report template in the first post.
Honestly, I wish there were steps to re-create the disappearing of my two SVs, they just disappeared. Here's the template: Build: 1.4 Mode: Survival Mode: Both Singleplayer & Peer2Peer Coop) SERVER NAME: N/A SEED-ID: Sorry, not sure where that is or if applicable? If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: No Reproducibility: Unable Severity: Minor/Major Type: Inside a CV so far. Summary: 2 SVs not visible in CV or disappears completely. Description: As for the other issue of me seeing the ship and someone else not seeing it, or vice versa. It has happened with one the two SVs. The one you find and take over shortly usually on the planet you crash with your POD. It was docked on my CV, I said to my friend to take that SV to go do something. They asked where is it? I could see it but they couldn't. I then enter the ship, start it and whiting seconds of me moving it (spacebar to lift it up a little & moving it forward/backward a bit, it re-appears for them all of sudden. They can then at that point use it. Steps to Reproduce: As explained previously, there's nothing that you can do to reproduce. The SVs are there a minute and are not hours later or when reloading the game. The player that sees the SVs has to merely fly it a few feet so that the other player can see it again. Right now, no one can see the SVs in my CV. Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links: ( Note: for more complex reproduction usecases that require quite some "setup", please create a savegame and upload it to a service & also attach a copy of your client log (& crashes log if a crash occurred): N/A no crash occurs. Thanks for the save the vessels appear to have got moved up above in to the top of the CV I repositioned them so at least you have them placed back the save is attached here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x9xIllckGLoJVVqmR2zzQ3E7WTtfv_TQ/view?usp=sharing What I need to try to find now is a way to make this trigger can you remember roughly your movements with these vessels before this happened ? For example: - Warped from another planet or star in SP or Co-op mode - Changed playfield from Orbit to planet - Noticed the issue had triggered Something like the above ?
Oh, that's great! Thank you so much! Before this happened, I had logged in game in SP mode. I first travelled a good distance with the CV, SVs inside, but on the same planet. I left the CV, with the SVs inside, just outside of a Zirax sector (a good distance away, not on the limits). I travelled via motorcycle to the nearby Zirax drone base and attacked it and then took it over. I then returned to the CV and they were both gone. They were docked for sure. Funny you mention that they were positioned up above in the top of the CV. There's been another couple situations where my friend died and his equipment appears underground, same position he died. First time it happened was from a very high fall from my CV and second time was while we were in a Zirax base and he got blasted by one of them. In the fall situation, we could dig to try and get his equipment but he couldn't take it. When he got blasted, we just couldn't get to it (it was under armored blocks). They were down a good 20-30 feet if I recall correctly on both occasions. Maybe something related to when you leave/die and lose your stuff, it reappears but not at the same "level"? Happy to discuss this further. Thanks again!
It happened again. SP mode. This time I'm on a moon. I was travelling with one of the two SVs back from the drone base there. I was travelling back to the CV, with my other SV docked inside. When I approached my CV, I could only see the SV from a distance, not the CV. Then the CV appeared as I approached closer. When I got there and I looked inside, my docked SV was gone. Hi can you upload this to another file sharing site ? mediafire for some reason won't let me download this perhaps dropbox or google drive or if you don't have them send a email with the save attached to [email protected] & mention this thread in the description so I know it's from you. Thanks
Thanks for the save I cannot seem to retrieve the lost vessel but this issue appears to be similar to what is being seen here with another report. When you went away from the CV where the SV was docked do you remember if you the CV was left near the planet border or near the planet pole ?
Yeah, it's right where the CV is in the saved file. I didn't move the CV when I noticed the SV missing. I left the game at that point to report it here. I think it's right on the line that splits (boarder?) on that moon.
Build: 1.4.7 3283 Mode: SP Mode: Freedom Reproducibility: None Yet Severity: High Type: Vehicle Deletion Summary: When approaching docked CVs they disappeared. Description: I'm building CV Expansion Pods that can dock to each other to form a mobile base. I docked 2 CVs to a 3rd in space and flew them onto a planet. I returned get another CV dropship and land it next to the 3 docked CV's. As I approached the 3 docked CVs I got the error window. I've been getting that a lot lately with no noticeable issues in game, so I just clicked it away. However, as the 3 docked CVs came into view 2 of them were gone (not destroyed btw). I landed next to them and exited the game. When I resumed the CV's were still gone. Steps to Reproduce: I will try to reproduce.
UPDATE 1: Apparently they didn't disappear! They were teleported into space directly above the position they were on the planet. UPDATE 2: Okay, I saw them below me in space, so I assumed they teleported up. But apparently they are still docked, and as I fly the one CV around the other 2 are moving with me. I flew down to see if I could undock them, and I could. Attached is an image showing how far away the 2 CVs are from the one the were docked to.
When I load into your save game I'm right next to the planet border. See this screenshot for where I mean (the planet "border" line visible in the red square) Did you move across the other side of the planet "border" before this triggered then return after some time to the location where the base is & where the 2 CV were found to have been repositioned ? On a first look this could be what is found here https://empyriononline.com/threads/...to-them-next-to-the-planet-border-7826.97095/ Please attach the logs so we can at least see what error triggered: Client log location: Right click on Empyrion in your steam library > Properties > Local files > Browse local files > Logs Right click on the folder called 3283 > Move your cursor over "Send to" then select "Compressed (zipped) folder" then attach this to your reply by dragging them into the reply box or using the upload a file option.
Here's the log files. It seems similar to the bug you attached, and I got the error notification close to the border. Can't say for sure but I may have been crossing it at the time. Also, the image I tried to attach apparently isn't showing. I guess OneDrive won't let it show. A couple differences though. The ships did not revert back to their correct positions after I reloaded the game. Instead it appears they respawned a few hundred meters away and were still docked to the CV. As I flew in space I could see them below me moving. I jetpacked down to them and was able to undock them.
Okay, I was able to reproduce it. I've attached another save file. Check the map and you'll see an SV and the 2 missing CVs, but they're nowhere in sight. I even flew underground, but didn't notice them there. To reproduce it get in the Helios 2A CV, fly straight up into space, fly a little over that map border, enter the atmosphere and return. I did it twice and the CVs disappeared as I approached.
