Description: The bounding box for the Docking pad type of landing gear is a whole block thick. The pad itself is a quarter block. So, the pad cannot come in contact with the ground, or a structure or another vessel and cannot dock. For example, everyone's favorite first SV - Lil Looter Steps to Reproduce: 1) spawn Lil Looter (or damaged hover vessel) 2) land it on a base (same faction, no shields) 3) notice it will not contact the base, no docky docky sound Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links:

Description: HV's cannot dock and never get the "locked" confirmation sound. Means CV's cannot carry HV's. SV's appear to be working fine, though I've not tested all docking pad types. Steps to Reproduce: 1) Load the save below Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links: Load this saved game and try to dock at the excellent CV I've built. Also try to dock in the BA, the HV fits, it doesn't work. The HV cannot touch down like the part block of the Docking Pad is blocking it. Hopefully the save gives you all you need.
Looks something like this. Landing pads have this same issue regardless of what type of structure they're attempting to dock to.
One thing I thought was interesting about this bug is the default orientation of these landing pads. In 1.7 and before, when I initially selected one of these pads on the hot bar to attach to an HV, they were upside down, requiring me to rotate them vertically 180 degrees before attaching them to the ship. In this version, they're oriented correctly. I wonder if this flipping of the default orientation is what's broken the collider? Note: I did try placing these the wrong way around as a test, needless to say it didn't work lol. Hopefully this issue can be resolved for Experimental II, as it's quite game-breaking for me now as I have my first CV and want to carry a utility HV around with me...it was designed for that purpose.

Type: Gameplay Summary: The docking pad's collision box is not right, it acts like a full block and the pads will not touch the CV and therefor will not dock. I've attached pictures with the HV in the bay with and without the pads to prove it isn't half block, or thin blocks on the bottom Description: Steps to Reproduce: 1) Spawn in a HV 2) Get on or in a CV or base. 3) Then lower the HV to the docking area. Can confirm this. Sometimes also happens with SV's. And it's unclear why some SV's/HV's can and others not. NOTEM: 1.7 current not affected. Recommend Gamebreaker classification.
I can't find the post where it was mentioned, but someone had posted about the salvage HVs getting caught on every little thing like rocks, plants, etc. Even the landscape a lot of the time. Removing the docking pads solved that issue for me entirely so it appears as though the collision issue on the pads is also causing the wonky behavior with the HVs in general.
