Holy hell! @Hummel-o-War has gotta see this! This'd be a hell of a AI CV POI! You're no fun! Just kidding, another case of "To each their own.". Oh... my... Arceus... it's beautiful!!!
Well, I've recently redesigned parts of my ship, the Haast WarEagle ZE. She's a medium size CV, coming in at about 31k iron, entirely combat steel, double plating over crucial areas and some disguised internal bulkheads. Has a pile of hangerspace, lots of cargo room, and carries up to 11 people easily.
Hello everyone. Allow me to show you my new ship. Minbari Battle cruiser "Dukhat'Tha". I hope you enjoy. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=870186610
Due to there being 3 builds in one, I am posing this in all three threads, hope that's O.K. As my first Capital Vessel, I wanted to make a Superman-like character, but then where would I stash the Warp Drive?.... The Body is a Capital Vessel, and the head is a Small Vessel. There is a door in the neck of the head and body to traverse between the two while connected. The platform (or a reasonable facsimile) is required due to how tall this is, and there being absolutely no spare room inside for an elevator! Finished up the Tarantula Drop ship Transport. Now the devs just need to make Drop ships! This was made to carry the Centurion HV I made. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=870727820
Stage One complete! After some serious blueprint sorcery involving the mangled carcasses of various ships it turns out that revisiting older builds can be quite rewarding! Spoiler: Go Back; to go Forwards! Humpback was always supposed to be a big, heavy hauler. The original layout (seen in the background) has "detachable" (no, not really!) cargo modules packed with boxes, after initially revisiting the design and fiddling with "clamping mechanisms" several other ideas started to bubble to the surface. With a little bit of work, we are fully confident we can deliver a versatile cargo hauler hull, with a few variants designed with carrying multiple SVs and HVs in mind, plus some armoured versions in the pipeline. Humpback is starting to look like the real all-rounder we had orignally designed her to be. Spoiler: Concept/Prototype
Genius! we've considered the approach for a few other things, clearly, I cannot see the wood for the trees!
