I love the look of the new models. I am eager to see what has changed with the Ilmarinen. I liked having to figure it out, but hose enemies... And the starter changes are looking cool. I am so ready to start a new game and play with that setup.
This is exactly the same with what I was thinking when trying the new sleep mechanic.That would be really useful indeed. Also wouldbe nice to be able to set the passing time in the game options, not start with the default 6x but be able to set it differently i.e. 1x,3x, 10x etc.
Lol, the down side of the Satisfied status effect. Would be nice. I get the devs can't go too exotic with the sleep mechanic as it's a Single Player only feature - though aren't most of us in Single Player? - but a simple "sleep n hours / until dawn" via a dialogue box would be achievable fairly easily I expect. We already have blocks that present dialogue in-game after all. Being able to speed up time while waiting / sleeping would be cool though, sped up day / night cycles would likely be quite pretty on some planets. As an aside, I just watched some Raptors hunting a Pangolin. Well, to be exact I was driving my HV across an open field at speed, when the aforementioned Pagolin flew past me, several metres above the ground, in full rag doll mode, before landing in a heap. Only then did I see the Raptors. It seems the act of being killed did some strange things to physics lol. Oh, the Pangolin is currently "occupied by Raptor 02"... I'm averting my eyes, no one should witness that. Scoob.
Best Version so far. Really enjoying the new Scenarios. The start with only the survival tool and flashlight is MUCH better.. I got my ass kicked 3 times by them damned green bugs... it was awesome. It was finally more like landing on an Alien Planet... could even be somewhat more difficult.
Loving this update so far. Great work, guys. The survival tool is now much more useful, fonts are better, collected stuff are automatically gathered instead of dropping to the ground and rolling. I haven't tested the weapons yet but I watched some spanj videos and they look great. Also alien bugs seem to walk around in a more menacing way. There is a bug in the survival tent part of the tutorial: Warning/GameAnalytics: Validation fail - design event - eventId: Non valid characters. Only allowed A-z, 0-9, -_., ()!?. Were there any changes to the motorbike? It seems a bit faster, handling is tighter, and seems to grip a lot better...

I didn't notice that but it seems no more getting stuck when hitting small trees and some food sources which was very annoying in forests and plant crowded places. I loved the new weapons look and aim. The alien bugs are a real challenge early on and that is exciting. They notice you and hunt you like a pack of wolves now. The tutorial is much improved. I remember when I started playing Empyrion I had no idea what to do. And then, when I was not expecting it or even prepared, came a drone base attack. Now everything is progressing much smoothly and the game gives the player time to absorb all its elements. Also tents that you can sleep in anytime you want is a sweet thing. Do beds in planet bases behave like this too? EDIT: When you update the spiders AI, I'll probably have a heart attack or two while playing but it's gonn a be worth it.
The opening starting tutorial is much improved and I like how it will help new players learn some basics without throwing them into full construction mode. Also checked a couple of the story lines and what a major + for rpg element to the game. Great work guys and don't drink all the root beer .
But I would like to ask this , why we can not sleep in space still? Time does not pass when sleeping in space. I checked with ongoing constructor jobs. Also the clock on the top right corner on GUI still does not work. Am I missing something? Any Future plans to address this at all?
Maybe because Space is 'Hostile'- Territory? Who knows...but as there is not Time to pass in Space while sleeping maybe it was not thought to be necessary.
Hey all, I started a new Vanilla game with v1.5 - loving it so far - however, I think I just broke Physics! Load up this Saved game and power-up the HV you're in. Sure, it's carrying a bit of weight, but it can lift off perfectly fine, but physics goes NUTS shortly after doing so. Raise up a short way and the ship starts vibrating - check it out in external view, it's very apparent - the HV also starts to lean to the left for me - it's symmetrical, so this shouldn't happen - and correcting things with "o" causes more screwiness. This HV that has ample lift and thrust to move - albeit likely not being the nicest to drive - is largely broken. I've had this before in a Reforged Eden game, but now I'm totally vanilla it proves it's a vanilla issue. Basic HV physics - which had seemed to be working much better for me until this point - still has some problems it seems. Is it worth doing an official bug report on this or is it known and acknowledged by the Devs already? Scoob.
