Setup a dedicated server in experimental or normal mini-how-to

    Hi does anyone know what this porblem is

    -ERR- Cannot change client 1/'VUVossi' to blocked playfield 'Mensch Moon'

    i have the same playfiled on an other moon and there it works fine

    Maybe if I could see a copy of the file I can figure out what the error means. Now is VUVVossi a name of a planet? Also double check your sector files to see if the names match.

    Anyone else got the problem that it loads experimental ALWAYS now? did a complete reinstall - again 6.1

    - used command steamcmd.exe +login anonymous +app_update 530870 validate +quit

    hmmm it might be worth uploading the dedicated.yaml to look at it.

    Are you using the Empyrion dedicated server from steam in Tools ?
    If so right click on it in the tools section the go to properties then the betas tab & in the drop down list opt out of exp & the server should start a download through steam.
    Going from EXP save to a public build you will need to start a new save file.

    Steam CMD with the command above - worked fine until 10 hours ago it suddenly installed experimental again

    - Well deleted some build files then it worked again nvm

    Your trying to play the 'Default' scenario in MP correct ?
    GameConfig:
    GameName: SuperSpacePirates # Determines name of the save game
    Mode: Survival # Survival or Creative
    Seed: 260582 # The seed determines how the world is procedurally generated - the same seed means the same world
    # CustomScenario: Default Multiplayer # Enable custom scenario. Name of custom scenario from folder Content\Scenarios
    # CustomScenario: Invader vs Defender # We recommend trying out this multiplayer scenario. Use OriginDefault: Defender for this scenario

    The file looks fine afaik. Maybe its a setting on your router.
    In your router have you got tcp & udp setup on you port forwarding for ports 30000 to 30004

    Yeah, want to run the default SP game as Co-Op. Thanks for checking out the file - Im not that experienced with them.

    I have opened those ports in my router. What puzzles me that the same settings worked in 5.5 - and even during at some point in experimental 6.0. It was just after the last few weeks of the experimental release that the connection didn't work anymore so I figured to wait the stable. But it didn't help...

    It must be something in my end but I don't know what to look for anymore. Something is blocking the other players - I can play there just fine (server running on the same machine). None of the other players have gotten even so far as to choose the starter planet.

    Have you tried having your friends open a console and ping your addy and port ? like ping yourwanip:3000 ? If they get a response its server, if not its router. maybe you restarted and your lan ip changed ?
