Noticed some collision issues as well, with both an HV and the motorbike. The HV would suddenly stop and change direction even with the smallest rock and tree, sometimes turning 90 degrees. It's got annoying after a while having to level the vehicle back to its position everytime I tried to cross an area with some vegetation. The motorbike would stop out of nowhere, even with nothing on the ground (I've checked). Hope they improve the collision because the starting planet looks so awesome now I want to cross it by foot. Haha
Well, I was going to splosh out on a 1070 myself soon (the soon was last year till the prices went crazy) as my 1050 is now a few years old, but I guess I'll have to feed the kids budget bread and hump for a 1080/1070Ti/1660Ti (whatever will be) later this year, prices should fall to 'norm' sometime around summer hopefully As for this Exp 1.8. Impressed, love the way wind gusts affect patches of longer grass, the new models for 'Oresteroids' in their randomly variable sizes is refreshing (though when I found a very large Cobalt I was a little disappointed to only be awarded a solitary ore) The titanium and Promethium spurs were taxing with the survival tool, but probably worth it, many carbon too! The Cliff's, hell yeah, I didn't realise it was a cliff and ran the Motorbike clean over the first one I encountered... long drop to the water, cool! The Motorbike is a bit too fast, really, I know, but it could do with a nerf. The POI's seem an interesting diversion from the gather and haul off planet (I've not had time to play them through so I don't actually know) damaged cyborgs an' all. The amount of plantlife is amazing and adds heaps to immersion. Overall a real improvement... but I only did a bike lap of the small 'Akua' world. PS: Yea, it appears that the water is sorted too.
Please make use of the experimental section of the forums now that v1.8 is available on the experimental branch since Tuesday https://empyriononline.com/forums/#experimental-branch.33
May I ask you to start a thread in the bug section and add your findings there (also with the SV) so we can centralize all feedback? Thx in advance!
