And I have to take, in the Future, my Drill with me when I like to use an Elevator. Tried to use the Elevator only to face a large Surface Rock that was sitting across the Shaft...
Yeah, both abandoned mines on my sp starter earth like planet look like they were dropped in without clearing surface landscape; completely over grown.
I have a giant rock going through the middle of my Abandoned Reactor. Made a copy of the game and went into GM to take the pic.
When reporting this issue specially with trees (grass is known) if would helpful to have a use case to try to reliably force it to trigger again like this: Start a new game in SP or MP with seed X on planet type X Go to these coordinates
I did. I cleaned Caches, verified, SP/Survival - Snow Starter Planet started a new Game - same seed - and moved towards the Position where the Overgrown Bases were. Same as before. My Character standing where the Picture shows. Save Game attached.
Nood Question: How do I find out my seed number? I thought I wrote it down but I can't find it. I'll start a new worls and test it again, to Sorry mate. I didn't know. Anyhow, I started a new world with the seed and it's fixed. Is there a command where I can respawn the POI in my saved game? edit: Or do I just remove the rock in GM and the POI will be ok?
When you are within the Game open Console look at the starting creating game Entrances... there you find Global ID and Playfield ID. Outside of game I believe its within the Log-Files/Clients
Type stats into the console & note the seed used & which planet you started on. Also type "di" into the console & note the coordinates down Close the game down & restart then select a new game, enter the same seed & chose the same planet Gift yourself a vessel via the "sbp" command & fuel via the itemmenu then fly to the same location (you may also try with godmode & teleport enabled to go there but there is a difference sometimes with what can happen between teleporting directly to a structure & flying to it during "normal gameplay")
Thanks for the info in seeing the seed number. As you can tell by my post, I did find it but forgot to remove the text... I'll put it down to lack of sleep It's fine now in the new world. No rock.
@Pantera please discard my entry - not Valid anymore I just opened a new Game - Seed 323002 - as before, large Planet, Snow Starter and checked for those same POI which had shown the overgrowth - not only I found different POI but also not even one was over Grown. Sorry.
I have just started a new game on Thursday. Seed number 537899 - planet Chiangor Trees are growing through the site where you go to meet the Chief. Coords 1848, 65, -280 Just thought I'd let you know.
Thanks guys as soon as another fix for this can be done it will be the last one had to be pulled due to it causing more issues.
Build: V1.1.6. 3079 Mode: Survival Mode: Dedicated Server SERVER NAME: SEED-ID: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: Yes (Project Eden) Reproducibility: I do not know. Severity: Major? Type: The problem is a vegetation problem that does not disappear from the POI . What makes the exploration of the poi complicated. Today it happened to me on a dedicated survival mode server, but it has already happened to me in solo survival mode. Sorry for the translation of the message. I am using Google Translate
This one is nearly a show stopper, still. (latest V1.1.6. 3079) Every single POI encountered has this issue (in SP, for me) I have to go into godmode, drop slightly below the ground plane and delete the vegetation that is growing, (and obscuring visibility) inside POI's before I can even think about entering them.
I'm not sure if it's the same issue or not, but in my game (with Project Eden scenario) I went to an Abandoned Assembly Yard and while there were no trees growing through the base, it has grass just under the surface over half the POI. The other half ended up over sand so it's not showing anything there. There's no ground under the grass so I can't remove it even by using god mode to go under to try and zap it.
Suggestion: Go into the Steam Files, clear Caches, verify Game by Steam and restart the saved Game - if it still perisits - put up a full Bug report and provide screenshots and the current Logfiles. Could also be requested to have a Save Game with your Character in Place. This issue has been treated already. If it is re-appearing the Devs will have to look into it again. If it is a loading error...well.
Please wait until 1.2 is on the experimental branch (which is very soon). If you find a POI with any grass or terrain deco inside of it you will need to wipe the playfield. Make sure you move all of your structures & items off the playfield first & put them into another playfield (the planets Orbit) then use the command: wipe PlayfieldName all For SP: Move all of your items & structures to the orbit of the planet, use the command & exit back to the main menu & load back in & the next time you go into the playfield you just wiped the POI's should be clear from that point onward. For MP: Move all of your items & structures to the orbit of the planet, use the command (Server owner or admin), exit the server & restart the server. The next time you load back in & the next time you go into the playfield that was "wiped" the POI's (or player bases) should be clear from that point onward. If anyone finds an instance of this happening in new playfields they haven't visited before & in playfields that have been wiped we would need a copy of the save game to look at it.
@Pantera ...couldn't find a suitable entry on EXP therefore I suggested that. So let's hope it is fixed AND stays fixed this time
