I have a knack for finding seeds that are near the titan rear section. Here is 947384. As you are descending pirouette to the left, you should see the wreckage in the distance.
I also finished this little guy: His name is Micro. Yesterday I built the workshops largest HV, so today I thought I would balance and build something smaller. Still no steam links in the client? So here is the website link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=798752807&searchtext=Micro Enjoy!
Vicomt, is that for this thread: http://empyriononline.com/threads/challenge-civilian-buildings.8053/ If it is not, you should post all those buildings there.
The Paint Job did it a ton of good at lookin good! (Note: Blue is my fav color so this Opinion may be a bit shamelessly biased.) It's adorable!
Holy snot rockets! Good heavens! Be careful of Zirax! Yeeeeeesh! I was feeling my inner Navy Seal, and thought I would take this fortress from the water: I was largely successful - took out the guns, bored a hole into the side.... but then, the horror! 4 Zirax obliterated me! They can shoot at an angle now and seem to have the reflexes of cheetahs! I did not even have time for a screenshot I was so bewildered! I love it! I think I am going to post this to the announcements thread, this is a much needed change and makes for one to have to be on their toes! Ha! They will pay for what they have done!
I loaded up the T5 CV prefab for the first time. Also I'd never seen some of the new blocks, like the new consoles. So I spawned it in creative and it fell into the water. Okay, first, sloshing through a half flooded ship trying to find the bridge and getting lost was a really cool experience. I was registering the awesomeness of this ship too, but I didn't really stop to appreciate it until I got in the cockpit and raised it up out of the water, then began a thorough exploration. That ship is freaking amazing. Whoever made that thing? Hat's off, great exterior style, interior has a great atmosphere
Yeah, they are intended for that thread eventually, but there's a TON more work to do on them, so I thought I just throw it out there as a preview
I gave the civilian challenge a shot and hammered together an Epsilon housing unit as a first try. There are more detailed images in the civilian challenge thread.
Completed work on the KCV Nephilim. And took it to Masperon. Big mistake. I was not prepared for the ridiculous amount of firepower those POIs have, and the turret changes have made them absurdly devastating. On the other hand, I didn't get shot down at all. I'm not sure I could say whether the Neph gave as good as she got, but she's pretty damn durable. Definitely able to go head-to-head with one of those Ghost Stealth bases at least. I just need to get better at flying...
I took my stealth ship there, and was very glad it WAS the stealth ship. That fortress has a ridiculous amount of firepower.
Had some time this morning and worked on something: Introducing the Owl. Nothing too exciting here. Tis my first attempt at building an SV with the wing shapes. I found some of the wings(like the pair I have on this ship) do not mesh well with the block shapes. Some do, and I avoided those because I am a masochist. But most do not. Leaves parts of the ship feeling disjointed. This ship would be nice for survival POI raiding, but definitely not pvp. If you want to find it on steam, click the "recent" tab or search for "owl" but since this is my first attempt, I am going to leave those pursuits up to you and not link here. Enjoy! Edit: I was going for a beat up and weathered look - hence the dis-jointed coloring/texturing.
This is one hell of a CV! DAAAAAMN! I love the design aesthetic. Kieve's steam workshop page for this ship mentions that he is too tired to post, and since I noticed that this is missing he steam link, here ya go: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=799143132&searchtext=
I've been trying to work on my Falcon CV and the thing would go into spasms and start jumping around all over the place like a dang jumping bean. Every time I tried to go inside it would go into convulsions. Finally gutted the interior and it was having issues just sitting there. This last time I noticed a small light that was hanging in mid air that I had missed during my tear down. Things have been calm since I deleted it.
I have noticed this with one of my CV's while resting on the ground. I have not been able to figure out what is causing it, although when I traveled to the planet Omicron, it would jump and shake but stopped after a bit.
It was just luck that I noticed the light hanging out in midair. It wasn't even at ground level but the weird thing was every time I'd try to go inside the ship past a certain point would cause the ship to jump and shake until it ejected me. I haven't had a problem since deleting that light. Edit: I respawned a new copy of the CV that still has the outside lights. Jumps around all over the place. I might have to spawn it in space and see if I can't delete the lights and then take it down to the surface and see if it still jumps around.
In my latest survival mode - fairly hard Omicrom start - built a foxhole and it sortof exploded into an underground complex, more than enough farm to sustain me, and ask the amenities. Including a drone's eye view of the exterior now - I tunneled straight up, building elevator as I went, and when I broke above the mountain I set up a bunker with a minigun turret and a little landing pad to the side. Beneath it is a three story fortified complex in classic concrete bunker, steel truss, and bare cave mix style. Also largely barren because I don't have a color/texture tool yet ...
Today I decided to get ambitious. Back in my SE days I was working on what was probably (at the time anyway) the largest ship using the rounded blocks in the game. She was being designed as a "colony" ship that launched work drones/pods from the two forward launch bays and had a couple of shuttles in the bays at the rear. I got a fair way in (slightly further than this screenshot but it's the last I have): Then... disaster. My hard drive gave up the ghost and I was unable to recover any information from it. Since I don't have a habit of backing up blueprints of stuff in progress to the Workshop, I lost the entire design. While having a quick play of Empyrion today I realised that not only could I recreate this design with actual in-game blocks rather than what was at the time mods, but I could make it better because I didn't need the crazy conveyor stuff I put in the original to make everything work. Queue a quick layout, this time around I'm going to finish this baby:
