Just confirming that Google drive isn't permitting download of the file, due to a virus declaration (I know it's due to the obfuscation). Perhaps an alternate download source for the bolder among us?
Lets say it this way. the version thats up there is buggy anyway. The new PDA stuff isnt included. Most of the time after saveing i have to manual edit the PDA anyway to fix the errors. Allot in the tool is just bugged Also the autor doesnt seem to respond to anything messaged him a week ago about a update and he doesnt reply
Could the author declare the project "open source" and allow us to fix it? I mean its pretty much open for editing anyways... But i would like to see it official. PDA editing is a drag.
@Keith Hovey I havn't abandoned the project entirely, however I havn't had time to actually work on it these last few months. I've been of the opinion, that the updates weren't breaking the current functionality, although I might've been wrong? If so I'll bump it up my todo list. If you would like to contribute, please feel free to! @the Google drive thing I've been trying to investigate what might've caused this a few times, it've been mentioned, but I've been unable to find a reason. It shouldn't be because of obfuscation (as I am not using any, afaik..) If anyone have any idea about what's going on there, it would be helpfull. Untill then, I've got this dropbox mirror: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0r3m8orf6diiqsd/AADXFBXQ4h88L3bkZECARoC2a?dl=0
The first step towards the next update have been taken; Updating the localization, to reflect the changes from newer patches. The amount of rows havae increased quite a bit, with all the new stuff, so I'm bound to have mis-categorized atleast something. If you want to help out, please look at this document: Link to google sheet In the 'Type' column, is what my tool uses to categorize it. If you feel something is mis-categorized, please add a comment (in the google sheets.. top-right, comment button, or better yet: right click field, and press ' insert comment'), with what you think is wrong with it. (ideally use the terms that is used already, to make my life easier <3 ) (The type column is what defines what is put where, in the conditionals for actions) (other is basically 'something not related to the PDA) If you do give it a look: Thank you for the help!
I'm having issues with the NearPoi trigger not triggering. Is it based off the groupname, displayed name, or bp name? I've also noticed that at times the name is in quotes and at times not. Any word on the proper syntax? Any help is appreciated.
It's next on the list 'to be tested'.. So I can't say it with 100% certainty.. But it *should* be BP group name afaik.
v1.1 released. Multiple bugfixes, changes, and new features for 7.x Please note, if you want to keep your old config, when updating, that you *must add* the new flag "RemoveUnconnectedCSV":"false" under 'settings' in the config file . This also made me make a video for the installation process, to make it have a lower entry-level to get working; Google is apparantly still being a dick about claiming it contains a virus.. I've no clue what to do about it. But you should be able to click the button next to 'cancel' (marked in red below). Sorry for the iconvenience, but I've no idea why, or what I can possibly change to make them tolerate it. Otherwise Use the dropbox mirror! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0r3m8orf6diiqsd/AADXFBXQ4h88L3bkZECARoC2a?dl=0 Yet again, thank you a lot @RexXxuS for your help with testing, suggestions, and more under the development! Happy editing!
v1.2 Released. Keywords for this release -New dynamic importing of data (using the ecf file(s)), so even more data is imported, and categorizing is better, aswell as will support the version of the game you are using (7.6+) -Copy&paste - Chapters, tasks, actions or the entire PDA, can now be copied from one instance into another, with ease. -More bugfixes. -Reworked a lot of the importing, to make it even sturdier. -Improved PDAView slightly. (As always, full changelog is in the third post) Please note, that if you want to keep your old config, when updating, that you *must add* the new flags: Under EmpyrionPath : "EcfConfigExampleName":"Config_Example.ecf", (Please specify the name of your config_example.ecf (only usefull if you have a second file, called differently, for your MP for instance) Default: config_example.ecf) "EcfConfigCustomName":"Config.ecf" (If you have a custom file with .ecf changes, specify its name here. Default: config.ecf (it's okay if it doesn't exist in the directory. It is not critical). Can be left blank) Under Settings : "OnImportPrefixChapter":"full" (When importing (ctrl+v), do you want the csv-references to be: 'full': prefaced with chapters name AND partial; 'partial': replaced chaptername with new chaptername, if collision; 'none': dont change the csv-references. Default: full) These have also been added to the emp_configurator.html if you prefer. Highlight: PDA copying Several places in the PDA, you will have this icon: (For instance in the PDAview, the task-action overview in editor, each task/action opened, and more) Clicking this will export the relating data (clicking the copy button in chapter (ie. including tasks, actions) copies entire chapter, clicking it next to a task copies entire task (ie. including actions), etc) into your clipboard. The copied data is the YAML, and the related CSV entries. You can now either paste this into the same window, or into another PDA window, by pressing ctrl+v (pasting - Other OS versions of pasting should work too..) If you have a textfield open, it will paste the data into this instead of 'using it'. When pasting, it will attempt to guess where you want it. If it is unsure, it will prompt you to choose the location. (for instance, if you are pasting an action, and have a task open, it will assume you want the action pasted into *this task*, and so on..) Few examples of where the icon is: 1: copy entire pda 2: copy open chapter 3: copy current task 4: copy current action (note, the 3 after 'delete task', will be a 4, if you have an action open) 1: copy chapter 2: copy task 3: copy action Please do report any issues/oddities. As always, a huge thank you to @RexXxuS for bug-hunting, inputs, etc !
You are definately the greatest, if not the best person today. I like your style you fucking legend now go take a nap you sexy beast! ##Edit BAHHHHH! I can't download, detected a virus.
Yeah, please refer to the post above, for version 1.1.. There's a dropbox mirror, (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0r3m8orf6diiqsd/AADXFBXQ4h88L3bkZECARoC2a?dl=0 ) aswell as instruction to download from google anyway. I still have no idea why it's flagging the executable.. Or what I can do to have it.. not.. flag it. Sorry for the inconvenience
Okay I have it running and working. One question, i think you mentioned it before, but do you have plans for an editor for the config.ecf file? Some sort of form to auto read / edit would be cool if you plan on it.
No, I currently have no plans to write an ecf editor. I have written an importer for the format, that anyone can use to write something, if they want however. And I am using it to feed data to this tool But I have no plans on writing a tool for the ecf format.. at the very least not untill the format is way more stable. Maybe then. But don't hold your breath
v1.21 Released. [Minor update, visual aid mostly] @Taelyn notified me, that items wasn't always showing up in the helper lists. This was due to the new .ecf file loading. I've adjusted the behaviour, so that you atleast have the 'manual items' availible, untill the file is loaded. Also added a visual indicator as to 'when the ecf file(s) are loaded'. See red loading thingy bottom-right. It will disappear, when the files are loaded. You do not have to wait for it to disappear, but untill it does, you will not have *everything* on the helper-lists (such as rewards, etc)
v1.22 Released. [If you are using a custom .ecf file you NEED to update] Various bug-fixes, and A8 ready-ing. Your 'gameversion' (ie. what features are unlocked for you), should be determined from your games buildnumber. Please let me know if there's issues.
v1.23 Released. [This release is ONLY relevant, but IMPORTANT to CA users] Fixed a bug where the buildnumber wouldn't properly unlock new features.
v1.24 Released [A8.0 ready!] Several bugfixes, and (almost all) 8.0 PDA features implemented. The tag 'ActivateChapterOnSkip' is missing 'on purpose', as I'm awaiting wether they make a 'RewardChaptersOnSkip' aswell, to accompany it or not. Among the new features: -It now does datamining for biomes, and helps you pick your biome(s) for VisibleOnStartPlayfields -Heavy extension of the import feature, to make sure that any and all you throw at it, should get a proper CSV-relation (Thank the new standard PDA for this one ) -When using the image-tag, it will now try to help you, if you have picked large pictures (as they don't work for MP atm, it is mostly meant to help scenario-creators, if they are going to upload to steam). You can ignore it as you like. It just adds a yellow border around 'large images'
