Just a post to let you know that I've added two new sections to the wiki: If you are a mod-creator, please feel free to contribute to these! One is suggested standards, that a mod should follow. Other is a list of articles (ressources), that might help a (new) or (experienced) modder out. Currently both sections is rather limited in content, but it's a start. I've also added two templates: {{GameAPI second tier|Index=GameAPI}} And {{GameAPI third tier:cmd}} The first should be included on any pages 'right below' the 'frontpage' Second should be used for any class (under cmdid-list) (paste them in 'view-source' section of any article) I've inserted it into the articles I could find relevant. The purpose is to write an Index to the page, so that it is easier to navigate back to the 'main GameAPI' wiki. (wiki is still found at : https://empyrion.gamepedia.com/Game_API )
(I've also done some formatting cleanup here and there, added a few new documentation pages for classes, expanded on some of the current CmdID documentation, and added a few that were missing entirely. In general, tried to make it more user-friendly)
I've added the section 'file-standards' under standards aswell. If you are a Modder, please review the suggested standards. If you have been mildly intimidated by starting modding, I've tried making it easier to get a grasp of (Such as how things work). If you think something is still confusing, or intimidating, please try to mention it, so we can work on 'lowering the bar' to begin modding (I love that this wiki format is keeping track of your edits and such.. 18 new articles (pages), 118 edits, in the span of 5 days.. PlayerInfo was my first, Pdastateinfo was my 100th, cmdid was my last)
Has anyone added any of this to the wiki? https://empyriononline.com/threads/...g-how-tos-and-editors-management-tools.12136/
I don't think so, no. But this is the /API wiki/ part, not the normal game wiki. From what I can tell, none of the content in that thread is related to the API
Ahhhhhhhhhh ok. Yeah the API wiki wasnt up to date at all. Xango was doing some updating to it at one time, and I think a few others were. Thank you for your efforts Same with everyone else! Im always helping modders get started and the more information they have the easier it is to get going
